October 5, 201114 yr Were You Me At 6 sales in Tues mids 13k or 23k Mart!n Ha I just noticed the first page update and thought they're astonishing sales for You Me At Six, its 13k isn't it, Martin has just made an error? James Morrison's single is holding up very well actually and so is Heart Skips A Beat, it's 59p on Amazon, is it the same on itunes? I will be so annoyed if Rihanna steals the number 1 off Maroon 5, but it looks likely. I like We Found Love, its not her best though, why couldn't she release next week and probably beat her old duet partner to number 1 instead, I reckon this is Maroon 5's last shot at number 1, unless maybe they come perform on X Factor? It's not really likely though is it? Edited October 5, 201114 yr by PurpleNurples
October 5, 201114 yr Pleased Joe is climbing back up :) Lady Antebellum doing surprisingly well too. NYN is being sold for like £3.99 on Amazon and in their Top 10 so that might have helped that into the Top 40. Edited October 5, 201114 yr by torresgirl
October 5, 201114 yr Author Rihanna is going to push Example [CTWYKM] out tomorrow and we should see Lady Gaga [Y&I] back in the 40. Cover Girl seems to be freefalling and probably be out of the 40 by the end of the week. I didn't realise Lady Antebellum had a lot of fans over here, they have pushed Ben Howard down a place never expected them to get a top 5 album this week, and their debut album has resurfaced at the bottom end of the 40.
October 5, 201114 yr Thanks for the updates Martin. I just wondered are Music Week being more guarded with giving out sales etc? I only ask as last week in the sales thread you kindly posted sales and some running totals for the top 10 albums and this week, its only for certain positions? Hope you don't mind me asking I'm fairly new here and not sure if we get that detailed info all the time :) Edited October 5, 201114 yr by torresgirl

They've had a rather lovely single out that has been promoted on R2, that's probably why. :D

October 5, 201114 yr I know my name is not martin :P It changes from week to week sometimes they are really generous other times they barely give anything. Now I am confused :) Thanks for the reply. I guess I am geting spoilt with all this sales info and a bit of a geek for it!
October 5, 201114 yr Now I am confused :) Thanks for the reply. I guess I am geting spoilt with all this sales info and a bit of a geek for it! I think Sunday was merely referring to the fact that you had directed the question at Martin and someone else was answering. Unfortunately, in most weeks we don't get a lot of midweek sales information.

October 5, 201114 yr Author Thank you. I thought we had a case of mistaken identity :) No worries re the sales. LOL at the mistaken identity, we both have MW accounts, if I'm not online usually someone else steps in We are not always guaranteed sales info every week from MW.

Cover Girl seems to be freefalling and probably be out of the 40 by the end of the week. Lady Gaga [Y&I] is at #38 in the charts - I expect to see it reach a new peak this week though; especially with the 59p reduction. Cover Girl is likely to fall out of the T40 though to accomodate the official 'We Found Love' - so Example will end up at #41 or #42 (depending on whether 'The Edge of Glory' manages another week, or if 'Skinny Love' / 'Best Thing I Never Had' fall out). I'm chuffed that it's managed to cling on so long, after it fell quite quickly from the T10 I thought it'd be out of the T100 by now.

October 5, 201114 yr Ugh at the climbs for Lady Antebellum x2 and Maroon 5 in today's albums update. James Morrison definitely on course to overtake YM@6 by Sunday, possibly even tomorrow, if he closed the gap by that much today. He'll probably end up with pretty terrible sales for a #1 though and Adele could be close, I definitely think Adele will be the highest entry in next week's albums chart that's not a new entry (and possibly even #1 if none of the newies deliver). Fingers crossed CTWYKM does stay top 40 this week, hopefully the weekend effect will save it and it can end up at 39 or 40 again.

October 5, 201114 yr Good to see maroon 5 top 20 in the albums, Joe McElderry doing his usual midweek climb, although i think this week he may not get top 10 and end up number 11. I think james morrison is gona stay number 1 in the albums. Looks like marron 5 will lose out on number 1 to rihanna, i do like the rihanna song and much prefer it to only girl in the world but id still prefer maroon 5 to get the number 1, plus they have yet to have a uk number 1 single to their name.
October 5, 201114 yr Totally didn't notice Maroon 5 in the albums. This will only be its 2nd week top 20 if it makes it. It deserves a lot more.
