October 5, 201114 yr I've never gotten over Jennifer Rush and "The Power of Love" keeping A-ha "Take on Me" of the top spot :) oh I agree, even though I do like The Power of Love :( back to 2011 :P I would much rather the original of Wherever... be that high, but I'm glad the song is doing well again, hopefully Florence can just about get top 20 by Sunday, at least its outpeaked WTWGM now
October 5, 201114 yr rihanna's record label have done a nasty thing if she does make number 1 on sunday.
October 6, 201114 yr a travesty that nicola roberts is not top 40 but i never expected her to last a second week in the top 40 so i suppose its ok.
October 6, 201114 yr Totally didn't notice Maroon 5 in the albums. This will only be its 2nd week top 20 if it makes it. It deserves a lot more. Completely agreee, it's a great album. Keeping fingers crossed that MLJ will finally be #1 this weekend too but not holding my breath. Went to check the BBCR1 Official Chart updates and noticed that while the Singles chart has been updated to show this week's midweeks, the album update is still showing last week's. Seems a bit odd - or is that inconsistency usual? I've only recently been keeping an eye on the top 40 as there are more artists I like in it at the moment. Edited October 6, 201114 yr by CShell

They normally update them both but their seem to have been a few problems with the albums chart in the lsat week or so. There was no Friday update last week. Then the OCC initially put Friday's update up on Sunday rather than the real chart. Fortunately, they issued the real chart to the BBC.

Ah, cheers Suedehead - I'd forgotten we got no Friday midweeks last week. Thanks for today's midweeks Martin. Shame that Maroon 5 album is out of the top 20 again but glad that both Joe & Will have climbed a place since yesterday - hopefully both will be top 20 still come Sunday.
October 6, 201114 yr Make no sense that Rihanna is not there. Damien Rice got to 40+/- in 2 hours and got only to number 3 on ITUNES, She has a FULL day of selling and got to number 1 very fast with a BIG lead and not in the top 40? a mistake.
October 6, 201114 yr Author Most likely the track is not registered with OCC yet it was rush released in the end which seems the most logical excuse for the track not to chart today. Will she lose those sales for yesterday, that's my main worry if the track is not registered which could deny her a top 3 entry on Sunday, oops.

October 6, 201114 yr Has to be a mistake. Unless the whole top 40 sold REALLY WELL Sunday-Tuesday and yesterday's sales were awful but that's impossible. Question: Would the track not being registered with the OCC make it lose sales? The only other time I came across lost sales before was in 2006 when Ne-yo beat Embrace to the top and I can't remember how they claimed Embrace lost sales.
October 6, 201114 yr Author Hang on, I think iTunes data is missing, Cover Girl has only dropped a place from yesterday, it makes more sense as Lady Gaga is not in the update with TEOG and Y&I is still at #38.
