His songs are full of cheesy cliched lyrics. That does not make him a great song-writer.

He's a better songwriter than someone like Lady Gaga, for example, in my opinion.

I quite like that ANASTACIA's last album charted higher than Pixie's latest even after following a no.67 smash.

Marry The Night is one of my favourite Gaga singles, ever.

Poor Pixie's career has really DISSOLVED a bit hasn't it - #18 is absolutely appalling for her album to say her debut got to #3 and has sold nearly 900k to date. WDYTMF? has bombed as well. And after arguably her biggest single to date.

 

Shame Snow Patrol only got to #3 but at least it keeps up their top 3 streak.

It was to be expected. Her debut had seven singles, a re-release, Britains Got Talent, mass airplay and promotion, price cuts and Xmas sales over two years and it still isn't anywhere near a million (I believe it's under 850K). It bombed everywhere else it got released as well.

 

Second album curse strikes again, though, it's like Wordshaker all over again.

I was hoping for top 15, shame its didn't get past #18 in the end. Still, I hope this can go top 10 next week with Alan Carr tonight and the supposed video release tomorrow.

Sounds a little odd to hear this on the chart show, very welcome though. Hopefully with promotion it can follow Kelly Rowland into the top 10 and then stick it out when the video's released.

Great to see Coldplay up to #4 even if it is at Drake's expense (at least he held top 5, 10 places higher than TML which is nee bad at all :D) Hopefully MX increased in sales week-on-week.

 

 

Yeah it seems it will be a battle between Rihanna and Buble for xmas no1 album....thats the conclusion i have come to on my thread about the topic - both may well sell a million by years end!

 

Wonder if any of the Buble xmas singles will go top 40 closer to the xmas chart?

Well Done Buble eh, I dont understand his status but he certainly has some likeability!

 

One week in the Top 10 for Cher ouch. Cant see this continuing to sell well or climbing again as surely her next singles will not be any more successful then her first two. How much more can she be flogged.

 

I also wondering the same about Matt. Quite a big drop even though his new single is about to be released and getting some airtime. Will Youngs new vid doing the trick as he's climbing back up. Very cute.
