Also, I've just discovered StooShe, one of the Sound of 2012 nominees. A 3-piece girl group that are basically a better, more urban version of Little Mix. If they manage to reach the shortlist, they could well beat Little Mix to claim 'girl band of 2012' status - especially with a Travie McCoy collaboration scheduled for March.

They are good though :P I just can't see them being massive, I don't know why. I think they'll be The Wanted to Little Mix being JLS (probably on a slightly smaller scale for the latter and a slightly bigger scale for the former though).

They only have one English track atm but they sound perfectly fine and the whole album (and their EPs) are very Western sounding anyway. Plus Will.I.AM is on board so it'll likely go well.

Some industry bigwig (I don't quite remember who) said a few months ago that K-Pop is poised to break internationally in 2012, I certainly hope so. With a few groups seemingly lined up for English launches, I think it's possible.

^ Girls Generation are also on Interscope too. I only listen to Run Devil Run, but it's very catchy.

With regards to Natalia Kills mentioned a few pages back, it frustrates me that she's doing as poorly as she is.

 

Her material really is good, not too dissimilar to an early Gaga (she's obviously being modelled on Gaga, but with a darker edge). 'Free' maybe didn't sound like as much of a hit, but 'Mirrors' definitely sounded like a hit.

 

'Lights Out' could be big if marketed well, I hope they don't give up on her..
