Fantastic for Gotye, its also one of the DJs Record of the week too. Hopefully it'll be big now like everywhere else. Like Coldbray has already said, at least if it flops or doesnt do as well as well I/we hope then it won't be Radio 1's fault.

Also great for Kelly and Jessie though Jessie was quite obvious. Good clearout as well.

Quite surprised there's no Titanium though, thought Radio 1 would support it. Also thought they'd playlist Will.I.am as its apparently out at the end of January? I'd imagine that Flo Rida's newie and DJ Fresh will be added in the next couple of weeks, both are gonna be big.

LOL why now... brilliant though

Who cares! Any chance of it becoming a hit! :D

I'm sure I've seen BBC advertise something with that as the trailer though?

Go Gotye!!! :D

Glad to see Radio 1 getting on board. It's been such a massive hit in several other countries it'd be a shame if it ended up with a UK peak of #32. :manson: (although I'm sure this is likely to happen -_- ).

In other news, excellent to see 'Born To Die' up to A-list three weeks before release. Hopefully this bodes well for the single to be a hit - preferably #1. ^_^

There, my thoughts. No Alesha, but did they playlist her last ones? I don't think they did. Hmm, not a big deal.

They did, they didn't playlist 'Every Little Part Of Me' after 'Radio' and the album tanked, but every other single of hers has been playlisted.

Good to actually see a whole host of new additions now, I wasn't sure Pixie would get the support still but I'm still fairly certain it will flop.

I can see 'Somebody That I Used to Know' being as big as 'Fireflies' to be honest and then he'll disappear like Owl City did. Amazing/random that M83 has been added.

"Breakn' A Sweat" is pretty good so that's nice to see, hopefully "Summit" can do well some time this year. Also nice to see Korn belatedly moved up to the B-List even though it's only because it's the next most obvious Skrillex track to promote.

I join in with the :cheer: at Gotye, I can't see it missing the top 10 now. Would love to see Lana Del Rey hit #1, heard it the other day for the first time and I already prefer it to the still excellent "Video Games", I love the trip-hop feel to it.

Ooh so Exciting where to begin?

The A-List is actually rather good! I only dislike 3 songs (RiRi, Big Pink & Taio) which is remarkable for me.

Surprised Foster The People are still there but happy and I'm glad Flo and Lana have climbed.

(As an aside I really don't think Lana will be as big as everyone hopes I think she will bubble under the radar)

I'm a bit annoyed that Noah & The Whale umpteenth single is still around on the A List

Thought they might push Frank Turner up to A-List aswell.

Jessie J is expected but still good. Very pleased that SBTRKT is up to B list and Pulled Apart By Horses.

C-List: I like Sabre, Sub Focus And both Kellys

I'm V. happy to see Tribes on INMWT, I thought they might snub them after they missed out sound of.. longlist.

Surprised Delilah never got to the A-list. Pleased The Wanted have been thrown off though.

Unexpected Omissions? Alesha and I expected 1D as I've heard the single on daytime last week twice.

Benjamin Francis Leftwich is rereleasing Pictures and Ben Howard-The Wolves

No Ren Harvieu :( or Miike Snow (not entirely unexpected seems like a buzz single?)

Also was expecting Dry The River on the INMWT list

Well this did not disappoint! Pixie and the two Kellys being supported surprised me. I know Radio 1 love Pixie but after how things went so pear shaped with WDYTMF? and the album launch I was worried. Really hope Kiss The Stars does well. It just seemed inevitable to me that they would blank the two Kellys so I'm surprised. Hopefully Lay It On Me and What Doesn't Kill You can both smash. Outside of that, Florence going up to A-list is nice even if No Light No Light will probably flop anyway. Drumming Song part 2. Skrillex going straight to A-list surprised me though. Radio 1 are going to be pushing him so hard this year.
I don't see why they would have snubbed either Kelly, they showed big support to both 'Mr. Know It All' and 'Down For Whatever' and both were reasonable sized hits.

Of course, the best song to be added to the playlist has not been mentioned yet, given that it's the BBC Introducting Playlist track and it is never put up in this post. But... The fantastic RAMS' POCKET RADIO ARE PLAYLISTED!! :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Oh, and yay for Tribes, M83 and Sub Focus too.

I don't see why they would have snubbed either Kelly, they showed big support to both 'Mr. Know It All' and 'Down For Whatever' and both were reasonable sized hits.

Mr. Know It All was only B-listed IIRC and it screamed of putting it on because they have to rather than wanting to to me. Admittedly they gave Down For Whatever a lot of support but I still had a gut feeling about K-Ro.

f*** yes at Kelly Clarkson, Jessie J and M83 being added! (Better late than never for the latter! :D - I reckon it could be used a lot in time for the Olympics on the highlight shows and stuff). Alyssa is a brilliant addition also. Everything else I'm not so fussed about. Especially the horrifically overrated Gotye. :puke:

Yes for Alyssa and Gotye

Hit The Ground (Superman) is growing on me. Hopefully it will be UK top 40.

And who told me bon the years final playlist before xmas there wouldnt be songs added straight to the alist at the start of the new year lol. Only joking, thought this had happened before though because its the first list in 3 weeks and songs go C-B-A normally.

Great new additions and a great clearout.

Its true what someone above says though most new releases dont peak in the first week of the year because sales are double what they normally are so they naturally rise in the 2/3/4th week of january as sales fall to normal and airplay increases!

With so many additions there. Some had to be great, ey? :P Brilliant to see Kelly Clarkson's great newie there! Thought Radio 1 would've abandoned her!
