Grenade

Bruno Mars has already taken the UK by storm since releasing his debut single in September - he has headlined a sold out London show and supported friend and singer Travie McCoy on a string of UK and European dates. As well as this, his debut single 'Just The Way You Are' went straight to Number 1 in the UK charts and has now sold over 600,000 since its release and so far is the second highest selling single of the year – a feat that is hard to come by these days for new artists. All three singles combined, including the No. 1 smash hit 'Nothin on You' with B.o.B and 'Billionaire' with Travie McCoy have not only marked Bruno as a credible and versatile up-and-coming artist but have totalled over 1.3 million sales to date!

Having spent the past few years writing and co-writing songs for the likes of Flo Rida, Travie McCoy, Sugababes, Alexandra Burke and B.o.B, Bruno is now stepping out as an artist in his own right and if the success of Just The Way You Are is anything to go by...this Hawaiian native, now based in L.A, is set to take on the world. - HMV

Turning Tables (Live)

'21' is the second album from singer-songwriter Adele, and like her first record, 2008's '19', it is named after the age Adele was when she wrote the album. Most of '21' was produced by Rick Rubin, who has worked with some of the biggest acts of the last 20 years, and Florence & The Machine producer Paul Epworth. Lyrically the album reflects Adele's increased maturity since '19', although it explores many of the same themes.

The world's biggest R&B superstar Beyonce is back with '4', her aptly titled fourth studio album. Speaking about the album, which she refers to as "musical gumbo" owing to its inspiration found in the variety of music genres she loves, Beyoncé reveals: "My fans will be so excited about my new album because I put my heart and soul into creating something that’s personal and honest."

4's collection of ballads, mid- and up-tempos is further enhanced on the deluxe edition by three additional new songs, three remixes, and an exclusive version of the 'Run The World (Girls)' music video. The new songs found exclusively on the deluxe edition are titled 'Lay Up Under Me,' 'Schoolin' Life,' and 'Dance For You.' Paradise

Coldplay began working on Mylo Xyloto in 2009, while the band was still in the midst of its multi-year tour in support of Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends. Recording sessions stretched from 2009 to 2011, with Brian Eno collaborating with the band on several songs and R&B singer Rihanna lending her vocals to “Princes of China.” Markus Dravs, Daniel Green, and Rik Simpson all shared production credits, too, resulting in a diverse album inspired by industrial rock and electro-pop. Coldplay began debuting the new tracks as early as May 2011, with “Every Teardrop Is a Waterfall” kicking off a string of anthemic singles.

AKA...What A Life!

When Oasis split up in August 2009, the Gallagher brothers bounced back by both forming their own side-projects. Liam Gallagher launched Beady Eye that same year, retaining most of Oasis’ lineup and cranking up his love for ‘60s rock & roll. Meanwhile, Noel reached out to musicians from different bands to piece together the High Flying Birds, whose music struck a balance between Oasis’ epic pop/rock and the Kinks’ lush psychedelia. Released in October 2011, the album also proved Noel’s willingness to step out of his comfort zone with songs like “The Death of You and Me,” which featured a marching band’s horn section. - HMV

Bruno Mars has been at every position between 1 and 14 and Adele 1 and 9!
Extremely impressive that Bruno Mars' album has never fallen below #14 in the whole 12 months, and is now back at #1, with no new single promoting it or anything :o

I was pretty sure The Maccabees would miss No.1 anyway, so I'm OK with #4

Enter Shikari for #1 next week! :kink:

lol. Has the album chart top 10 stayed the same for the past 12 months?

I wonder if Katy will release a 7th single from the album.

great to see the Vaccines going top 10 again - the album is pretty good, nice to see quite a few guitar bands going back in the top 10 too :D shame the Maccabees couldn't stay at number 1, I think we're just gonna get default number 1s on low sales for ages due to lack of new releases :(
For all that's been said about Adele that's one hell of a chart run for Bruno. 53 weeks without dipping below #14, that's incredible and would've got far more notice any other year.

I know what you mean, but Adele's 51 top 9 weeks totally distract the eye from Bruno Mars.

(36) Gotye-Someone That I Used To Know

Better tune than I thought, the video however is a ltitle creepy

This song is SO awful. :banghead:

'Where Have You Been' and 'Talk That Talk' are better (especially the former), they both should've been considered before this.

I still need to buy Bruno's album. I loved his singles but wasn't keen on 'It Will Rain' at all, although I did like 'Runaway Baby'.
