Far from her lowest-charting single then - she's had 01-01-01-10-11-12-14-20, good to see consistency. Unlike The Wanted, Lott has managed to hold on to her top 20 streak.

...apart from her #51 hit...

He got it wrong - swing and a miss

Well maybe that's why he doesn't do chart facts then. He manages to f**k up even the most trivial stuff he's interested in.

Nope, it was just Hot R&B/Hip-Hop songs (which I believe is an airplay chart so #74 is hardly a great achievement given the supposed hype around Blue Ivy Carter).

#74 is good for a song that isn't on an album or mixtape though. And the song was probably released part-way through the tracking week too.

But then again, Katy Perry and Britney Spears have charted on the chart before, so it can't be too difficult to get in.

I'm glad Maroon 5 didn't get back in the top 10. We're supposed to be hearing Christina's new song soon! :D

...apart from her #51 hit...

That wasn't a single - #51 is good for an album track.

Anyway, I hope Rihanna is #11. No good in her staying top 10 if she's not going to beat Maroon 5's stay anyway :P

Pixie can obviously sing (See "Cry Me Out" and others) so why do they need to swamp her voice in these electronic vocal effects?

A mess of three minutes of pop music, I'm afraid

Exactly my thoughts on hearing Alexandra's Elephant; potentially a half-decent song, absolutely ruined by vocoder/autotune, which she doesn't need.

...apart from her #51 hit...

And another #41 if we're looking at it that way.

Plus she had that dreadful single that followed 'Broken Arrow' which missed the chart completely.

We're supposed to be hearing Christina's new song soon! :D

And it's called 'Fuck Your Body'. Sounds grim.

this song has actually grown on me a whole lot lately. taking out the random part where timbaland sounds like a p****, it's a nice calming song.

:manson:

Bit late here as I'm catching up but I'm assuming Doug was talking about the Gil Scott-Heron parts of Take Care? If so I think a bigger manson is needed.

Both 'Titanium' and 'Earthquake' in the top 10 :D

ooh, 'titanium' top 10 then! :w00t: I'm still in love with this song although it has had it's time now I think.

edit: I'M SORRY OKAY. I'm a musical F-student. it sounded like timbaland so I assumed. :(

Just saw the thread description and had to
Exactly my thoughts on hearing Alexandra's Elephant; potentially a half-decent song, absolutely ruined by vocoder/autotune, which she doesn't need.

The rest of the song is electronic, so Alexandra's voice should be too. It matches the song better. If the song really would sound better without it, they wouldn't add it.

Nearly all the songs in the chart use autotune. Clearly people like it, and some people need to get over the fact that vocal effects will be around for a LONG time.

Woo! My favourite song of 2011 is finally top 10! Took him long enough to release it, but at least it's here now.

Oh... top 9, even! Earthquake is still amazing though.

still in love with this. right from the electronic intro. amazed at how long it's managed to last too.

9th week in the top 10 :cheer:

And in those 9 weeks it's traversed every position except #1 and #9 :P
