January 18, 201214 yr Loving 3 of the new additions to the A-List. Really hope M83 can make it into the Top 50 and further now. :D
January 18, 201214 yr A Big :cheer: for Coldplay. Hopefully CB can be big, but realistically I think it will be lucky enough to get Top 40 :(. Looks like they've jumped onto the Pibull bandwagon now IL is lookihng to be a hit
January 18, 201214 yr good to see Coldplay added, Charlie Brown is WAY better than Princess of China so I'm glad that's the next single :D Titanium A-listed obviously pleases me too!
January 18, 201214 yr 'Get Yourself Back Home'? Oh dear! Reminds me of 'Forget You', but I did eventually come round to the idea.
January 18, 201214 yr A-list for M83, fabulous stuff! Surprised that Midnight City has got there before Somebody That I Used To Know though.
January 18, 201214 yr 'Titanium' up to the A-List :D Glad to see them still keeping The Maccabees on there into their third week of release as well. Surprised to see both 'Levels' and 'Good Feeling' still on the playlist, I presume they'll dump both of them at the same time (most likely next week) just as they added both at the same time. Also good to see Ed Sheeran and Youngman up to the B-List :D I see 'Pictures' is getting a re-release. I hope it can somehow get at least top 100 this time around but I doubt it. Of course always fantastic to see a Coldplay song playlisted :cheer: Hopefully Charlie Brown will go at least top 40 so Mylo Xyloto has more top 40 hits from it than Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends (it already has if you don't count Life In Technicolor II I suppose). Not expecting it to do overly well though. 'Princess Of China' will be much bigger, I hope they perform that at the BRITs since both Coldplay and Rihanna are confirmed performers. 'Get Yourself Back Home' - oh dear, are we looking at another dodgy radio edit again? Actually that's probably a pretty good way to handle it, I was wondering how they were going to censor 'Ass Back Home'. R1 jumping on the Pitbandwagon again since 'International Love' is doing quite well, or maybe they've just finally decided to take him off their blacklist? Should net him another top 10 hit anyway, this really should have been the third single though.
January 18, 201214 yr It's a shame to see Skepta gone so soon. It looks like we're getting a different single frmo Gym Class Heroes to what they're having in the US. Good to see Chiddy Bang added, it's a nice song. I'm also surprised to see Pitbull added. Radio 1 always seemed to not like him. Perhaps the chart show incident made them get worried. Seriously though, if that was the reason, there's a plethora of other similar, but better and less generic songs they could've chosen from. I think Roll Deep have a new song out, for example.
January 18, 201214 yr It looks like we're getting a different single from Gym Class Heroes to what they're having in the US. Is 'Ass Back Home' not the new US single? It's #21 on US iTunes.
January 18, 201214 yr A-list for M83, fabulous stuff! Surprised that Midnight City has got there before Somebody That I Used To Know though. And "Reunion" is now A-Listed on BBC 6 Music. Radio 1 for once behind?
January 18, 201214 yr Is 'Ass Back Home' not the new US single? It's #21 on US iTunes. Yeah, sorry. I thought it was a different song altogether, I didn't realize it was just censored. :drama:
January 18, 201214 yr Trying to make sense of the Anna Calvi addition here. Blackout was released ages ago and I don't remember them playlisting it then. Even if it's getting re-released, why playlist it now if not the first time round?
January 19, 201214 yr Pixelated People! :D I really hope this means success for Jess Mills. THIS. I think it will do slightly better or worse than Fighting Fire but I don't think it can be top 10 or anything. YAY @ Titanium A-list, booo @ Gotye not yet.
January 19, 201214 yr Anna Calvi?!! :o Where did that come from? She was on the 2011 list of big things and radio 2 took her on and played a few of her singles. Strange to see radio 1 now playlisting her. Good to see M83 on the alist, hopefully it will get a top 40 placing now and not keep falling down itunes at the weekend...why though keep Gotye blist? It better not stall the singles rise on itunes - if it was alisted it would def go top 10 at least next week. As Eric said im surprised about Skepta - the single is holding its own on itunes despite only going top 30 - think it will rise again on the chart this week. Its one of those songs that if radio 1 had alisted it it would have went top 10 - its a decent song imo! I worried about the release of CB because as Bre said i think Coldplay will perform POC at the Brits which could interrupt CBs progress - if POC is performed at the Brits i think it could go to no1!
January 22, 201214 yr So has the new Scissor Sisters single been snubbed then? :o How strange, an almost certain flop then... Also didn't expect Roll Deep's new one to be ignored seeing as it has a very commercial sound, much like their two #1's of 2010 which they gave full support to.
January 22, 201214 yr Yet again Radio 1 look like complete clowns... Twilight will most likely be #1 next week and it's not even on the playlist -_- Edited January 22, 201214 yr by Mr. C. Joel
January 22, 201214 yr Yet again Radio 1 look like complete clowns... Twilight will most likely be #1 next week and it's not even on the playlist -_- Blah blah blah, Radio 1 isn't a chart music station. Does this have to come up every single time Radio 1 fails to support a chart hit despite the fact that's not even what their playlist is meant to do? <_<
January 22, 201214 yr Blah blah blah, Radio 1 isn't a chart music station. Does this have to come up every single time Radio 1 fails to support a chart hit despite the fact that's not even what their playlist is meant to do? <_< I'm fully aware that Radio 1 isn't a chart station but considering they run the official Chart every Sunday..you would think they would playlist the most obvious couple of hits! They are so set in their ways it's a complete joke..they think they are 'Cool' by playing indie/alternative drizzle which quite frankly isn't up to date at all and reaches the amazing heights of top 200 on iTunes and the album bombs..Doesn't that tell them something!?! No wonder the likes of Capital are growing at a fast rate and Radio 1 is continuing it's decline in listeners..Can't wait till the BBC just goes away quite frankly. THIS ----> 'All Time Low - Time Bomb' All Time Low flop with pretty much everything..yet here it is again. Edited January 22, 201214 yr by Mr. C. Joel
