Probably. Her 3 versions in the top 100 add up to 91.7% and then she has 2 more in the top 200, a few more lower down and her EP still at #3 :(

 

(On the upside, I finally got a chart prediction correct for which mine was a minority :lol: It's been an obvious #1 for a while IMO, so I'll just enjoy being 'smug' about that :kink:)

 

Like I said in the R1 playlist thread the other day 'Twilight'/'Alone Again' will be my least favourite #1 succession since 'If I Were A Boy' knocked off 'Hero' (although that was MUCH worse to be fair) :puke:

I'm not getting what's so offensive about 'alone again' :unsure: I mean, yes, she did cover the chorus from a classic song sung by a female in the 80s but I don't really find or see why anyone could find her voice offensive. not exactly amazing, but not bad. unless it's the rap verses of course.

Alone Again is a crime against humanity, it is wrong on so many levels. Her voice is rubbish and the rap is awful. Alone is such a classic song that it should have been left well enough Alone.

I don't find Alone Again all that offensive. However, that song needs a singer with a massive range and the ability to belt the bloody thing out. It just doesn't work as a more sombre, monotone affair. I'm not against cover versions or samples at all, but that is one song that I cannot think of one singer that can improve upon the original. Ann Wilson's voice was flawless (and still is actually).

 

There are a handful of singers that have sung the song well (Carrie Underwood wasn't too terrible if I remember correctly), but there has never been anything close to a comparison to the original.

I swear no-one cared when Glee covered Alone, how is that any different? :lol: Not hating on Glee because I'm a massive Gleek but it's still a cover of Heart, and while I personally love the cover, Kristin Chenoweth's voice is even more of an acquired taste than Alyssa's imo!
