I fully agree and I certainly don't approve of what they said to Madcon, however I find it hard to stop liking a song/artist's music even if I despise the artist themselves. I even bought Chris Brown's latest album last year :drama: Although I promptly traded it in, not because I suddenly decided that I shouldn't be supporting the career of a woman beater, but because the album was absolutely crap :lol:

 

Odd that Norway's reaction to the whole thing though was to send the single up to #1. You'd have thought there'd have been a backlash against them in the immediate aftermath, not increased support...at least the Chris Brown thing was a few years before. He hadn't been excused for what he did obviously but it wasn't at the forefront of everybody's minds. His era immediately after the domestic violence was a commercial failure.

Well, Plumbo ment it as a joke.. they are far from racists. They apologized right after the award ceremony (when Kaizers Orchestra guitarist poured beer all over Plumbo vocalist, he later apologized as well). And Madcon said Plumbo was 'f***ing c**ts' right after the awards.

 

The last month we have seen alot of clips from where Madcon have said 'racist' things, but no one care because we know they try to be funny. Like in 2011, Madcon said on a very popular talk show that Norwegians are a bunch of 'blekfis' which means (directly) translated, 'Pale farts' :wacko: AND last friday, the new tv show 'The Voice' (Like Idol only the judges can't see the preformer) premiered with Yosef (Madcon) as judge, where he said 'I thought you were a pig fat woman'. (These things sounds much better in Norwegian :P )

 

I just know that I have lost respect for Madcon as a human being. And Plumbo is clearly the victim in this.

I don't agree with racism in any way, shape or form but it looked like it had been lost in translation because everything I'd read up to now had implied that Plumbo were at fault. That's pretty harsh stuff from Madcon though...

That is a bit much from Madcon. I always got the impression that they were quite nice guys, but it always seems to be that European R&B artists don't have the same attitude of the US ones. All the same, I don't know if Plumbo are genuinely sorry, or apologised for the sake of appearances or because that guy poured beer on them... Definitely a tastier option than water either way :lol:

Voted as well, and I do agree Semi 2 is far more better compared to Semi 1, even if i'm in the latter. There's some tracks that stand out instantly for me compared to others in this overall contest which is good :D

i wont be able to watch the semi final results :(

Just noticed the deadline is tomorrow and I haven't listened to a single song. :drama:

Syndare have voted! A very tough decision, at least four songs worthy of points were left out in the cold. I could definitely see some surprising results going down.

Voted! Semi 1 was quite poor overall I found, I struggled with the 2 and 1 points, I do like them in a 'hmm listenable' way, but still... :( Had I been in Semi 2, I would've REALLY struggled as I could easily give like 10 of them big points!I do absolutely adore my 12 pointer though :wub:

Hopefully my entry isn't one of the poor songs from the Semi :D

I'd like to point out that I'm in no way whatsoever voting late because I want to listen to songs more attentively and without rushing. I listened to about half of the Semifinal once this week. And am planning to skip-listen to another half (which is neither the bottom nor the top half of the running order by the way) tomorrow and vote. It will be hard as this is literally the worst Semifinal I've ever been in.

Listening through the songs now. Apart from two songs I'm really not impressed with what I'm hearing. (and one of those two I had already heard before)

 

I'd like to say that it's all still pleasant stuff but I'd be lying. :(

OMG, one nation has now accumulated 100 points! :w00t: I won't say in which semi, but 14 nations has voted in each semi and in the other semi the leading song has 81 points!

 

And in semi 2 there is ONE point seperating a DNQ from a qualifier :o
