According to the Wikipedia page (reliable to a certain degree), Coldplay will perform on their own (hopefully 'Charlie Brown') and then alongside Rihanna ('Princess of China'). Both deserve to be huge hits, but it looks like only one of them can be now - all depends on which one they invest their time in.

If this is true, then Coldplay could have 3 songs in the Top 40 next week :o I think POC will be a bigger hit as it features Rihanna, plus if the live version is available it might get combined with the album version.

Cher Lloyd is rising again! She's at #33 now. Considering it doesn't seem to have any airplay at all it's doing well to be climbing.

M.I.A has risen 10 places since yesterday! Bad Girls is #53 now. I'm confident this can be a top 40. Hopefully the weekend effect doesn't harm it too much this week and it can beat its #62 peak. Paper Planes at #178.

I really don't think Charlie Brown will be a hit... I don't know why they went with that instead of Princess of China unless they think using Rihanna is selling out or whatever.

^ didn't Coldplay perform 'Charlie Brown' on X Factor as well as 'Paradise' a while back?

I love 'Charlie Brown', it's a shame to see it flopping :(

I agree about Cher. The only song of hers I really heard on the radio was With Ur Love. It's a shame that radio stations seem scared to play anybody who has a slightly controversial personality. :(

I really hope M.I.A. can get into the top 40. Her song is very different to practically everything else in the top 40, and it's just such a good song anyway.

Turn Me On back in the top 10 now.

She managed a slight sales increase last week, despite falling 39-43.

You gotta be kidding!

I know! Swagger Jagger peaked at #70 on radio or something crazy like that. With Ur Love went top 20 I think but Want U Back will be lucky to go top 50! It could still do OK on the charts though if Syco work as hard for it as they did for One Thing. If they make it 59p, get her on Dancing On Ice and have a remix EP for her fanbase to buy it could still go top 15 easily but it could be doing so much better.

It's a shame with Cher aswell, since it's not like those songs aren't radio friendly. The radio stations are simply snubbing them because of the artist involved to be quite honest.

It made me think though, what is the lowest that a #1 has got to on the radio airplay chart? Or at least in recent years? I think maybe Killing in the Name, but I think I've heard that more on the radio more times than I have Swagger Jagger.

PLEASE!

YAY Turn Me On finally (again) top 10, now it has time for the top 10 effect too before anyone could trouble the top 10 again.

I hope though Alyssa Reid plummet. Very weak song imo, but I don't want to judge her yet, maybe she comes out with a huge second single :D

There's a good reason Swagger Jagger never gets airplay. This new one isn't too bad but the 'helicopter' bit is very cringy.

:ne: 440. Ariana Grande - Put Your Hearts Up

'PYHUOniTunesUK' or something like that was trending on Twitter WW today. The song has had no airplay so I guess it's an okay start.

And yay at Cher going up! :D

I've just downloaded Starships and WOW... I love it :o
I'd moan about rebecca ferguson's musical equivalent of drying paint climbing back up the chart, but actually the logistics remix made me see it in a new light. why couldn't that have just been released as the official version with the official version left as the acoustic version? :(

I think, not just with this song, but with songs in general, they should promote multiple versions of them. Like they did with Happy, Right There and Missing You, for example.

One of the best things I've read on this forum. ^_^
