I haven't been watching, but would we expect any of them to get into the charts? I'm guessing there were lots of singers this year then. Only Susan Boyle really saw success from it (although knowing me I'm forgetting someone else really obvious :lol:).

He's not a finalist but Zipparah Tafari could well be in the chart today. (Not top 40, but maybe top 100 or failing that top 200 and could climb into the top 100 next week).

 

Urgh at Boyfriend. Glad it hasn't climbed too much from the video premiere.

Yes fair point. It is lovely to hear songs like Hey Soul Sister and SD again!

Well, wheres me keys, wheres me phone is probably going to be top 75 next week, plus we have Jonathan and Charlotte who will prob have this years xmas album number 1, then there is the Loveable Rogues who could well chart soon, plus The Mend (not as good) and the 2 male solo singers. Plus the little girl, who could have a big album st some point.

 

Plenty of potential!

I think the first (if any) contestant to get a chart hit from this year would be the Lovable Rogues, Jonathan & Charlotte could get some success in the album chart though.

I prefer 'Boyfriend' to 'Can't Say No' and I never thought I'd say that, especially about a Justin Bieber. I really hate 'Can't Say No'...

This makes 'Boyfriend' sound like a masterpiece.

I don't think songs need to spend that long in the chart. I bet most of the songs that are now classics from the 80's and 90's didn't even spend 20 weeks in the top 40.

I'd imagine at least one of them will by the end of the year, Loveable Rogues most likely or perhaps Ryan O'whatshisface. Jonathon & Charlotte are bound to have a #1 album and Molly Rainford strikes me as a Ronan Parke sort of figure, a rushed out album not too far into the future that flops.
