Maroon 5 will be a runaway number 1 this week. Justin and Cheryl will battle all week but i believe Justin will do it, that said i did say last week that i thought Cheryl would walk it so i was so shocked to see her number 2.

Gary Barlow down to number 6 in the album chart, i just hope he doesnt drop much further.

Wow for Carrie Underwood being top 10! :o

Pleased to see Loreen hasn't fallen quite as much as I was fearing she would! 59p reduction next week please iTunes, to get her back in the top 20! :D (I believe that's what people are waiting for! Plus the video should be out soon!)

EDIT: and major yay at Kelly C climbing 9 places with 'Stronger' in the albums

Shame Carrie won't stay top ten, that would be an amazing result!

Where has Carrie suddenly got so many fans from? Surely even with how much sales have fallen since 2009, going from a #93 to a potential top 10 or even just a top 20 must be a big improvement. I won't begrudge her success as it's far from the most offensive thing going on in the charts this week.

Has Liam been on yet? I'm worried for his health when he finds out about this :kink:

The track, which also features rapper Wiz Khalifa, has sold nearly 80,000 copies in just three days on sale, and is currently outselling Cheryl‘s Call My Name (Number 2) two to one.

Cheryl 40k I'm assuming

Maroon 5 have hit the 'nearly 80k' stage a full day later than Cheryl did last week, hopefully that means they won't be challenging her YTD record for one-week sales! 72k in the last four days after 80k in the first three is still very much achievable though as 'Payphone' is probably nowhere near as frontloaded as 'Call My Name' :(
Actually Carrie's album may well remain there as she's signing copes of the album at HMV Oxford Street. Absolutey pissed I can't go; exams!!!!

I wonder who will come on top between Cheryl & JB?

Brilliant to see Kelly's album rising, and Carrie in the top 10! Probably won't stay there though.

I know there was a deal to preorder the new Carrie album when buying tickets for her Royal Albert Hall show... obviously wont account for massive sales, but would have helped a bit... i was surprised to see her in the top 30 on itunes, so top 10 midweek is amazing... and her promo is continuing, seeing her move into the top 10 on itunes today... fingers crossed she can stay there officially :-D

'Call My Name' only had the one version on iTunes last week. Well, there were remixes but none were selling that well. Maroon 5, however, have got the Wiz Khalifa version at no. 1 with the rapless version around #20 on iTunes so the combined sales straight away there will probably explain why they've outsold Cheryl in the same period of time. 'Payphone' will probably be around 160k by the end of the week. Without the extra version, Cheryl might've kept the fastest selling single of 2012 record.

I hope StooShe’s Black Heart can remain Top 5, it’s better than Love Me so it deserves to out peak that. Would be nice if Paloma Faith’s Picking Up the Pieces can climb into the Top 10, but I’ll be happy as long as it climbs.

Looks likely that Cheryl Cole will overtake Justin Bieber in the albums! :cheer: Great to see Paloma Faith back in the Top 3, and many albums re-entering the Top 40 – Nicki Minaj and Paloma’s debut album! :D I hope Kylie’s The Best of can remain Top 40, but it’s done quite well so far considering it has no new tracks and there was no promotion (aside from the Jubilee concert).

GET IN Carrie Underwood. This is immense.

Are you serious? It hasn't even sold 30k yet.

That's why I said considering no new tracks or promotion, i.e no reason for people to buy the album and no-one knows about it aside from fans.

Go Carrie, very much deserved, all of her albums have been great. Shame that there isn't really a market over here for Country music. She performed on Loose Women today and was amazing!

Yes I agree. Saw her on BBC breakfast and she was stunning vocally. Wish I'd followed her career more closely but always loved her voice and live performances I've seen.
