Does anyone know if Stooshe has a new single out at the start of next month? Their albums out on the 3rd (or maybe the 10th, :P can't remember) so unles they are going to go into the album release on the success of Black Heart, they should be premiering something right about now. Can totally se their album debuting at #1 with around 40k (which is not spectacular but pretty good in these times).

It's on the release schedule for October, but on there it's called 'Swings & Roundabouts' but the girls themselves have said it's self titled. Wikipedia says September 3rd on the band page and 24th on the album page, but also says it 'could be pushed back to November' Confusing, I just want the album ASAP though

I think Till the World Ends has outsold Hold It Against Me actually. It was one of the best-selling non-top 20 hits of last year. It's impressive how well it did considering no top 10 effect, and no playlisting from either Radio 1 or Capital. Maybe she should've released it as the 1st single instead.

In the US where it actually did get a lot of radio support it peaked at #3 and had a very long chart run.

Oh there's a surprise! I actually prefer HIAM (one of my favourite Britney songs, and she has a lot of good stuff!) but it's always good to have a song sell better than it's peak suggests.

Yay, 'Wonderful' top 10 :D Top 10 officially next week with a bit of top 10 effect climbing please!

Ugh at it kicking out Far East Movement rather than the old 'This Is Love' or the shit 'Brokenhearted' though.

Of Monsters And Men  to #21. Starting to slow down again but then it is approaching the weekend.

First heard 'Brokenhearted' last week, really don't understand the hype/'love' for it. It sounds awfully generic to me and Karmin scream one-hit wonders regardless. Glad to see it's not progressed any further than #6 officially really - could well fall 06-12 this week (with 'Pound the Alarm' and 'This is Love' occupying the spots it and 'Turn Up the Love' currently hold) and will be begin a further decent with Rita Ora's release next week.

In terms of upcoming releases, are we assuming Rita Ora will hold on to #1 for 2 weeks? The ever-growing fanbase will surely see it debut at number-one next week, it's just a case of whether any new releases the following week can steal it. We've got The Script & will.i.am (which'll likely be a lower-peaking long-running hit), Devlin & Ed Sheeran (which I could see scrapping the top 10, possibly higher) and this Sam & The Womp track that I've yet to listen to, but with a fake version on iTunes should be heading for the top 10.

Plenty of new releases in the coming weeks though to make things interesting.

A clear example of the top 10 effect here as Angel - Wonderful has already moved up to #9 after not spending that long at #10 yet spending days at #11!

Now #8 - really showing top 10 effect!

For some reason record labels are leaving big gaps between single and album releases recently so I wouldn't be suprised if there isn't another single before Stooshe's album.

Wonder if their label is holding out for an X Factor performance to launch the album, before deciding when to release it (now or November).

ATC at #101, apparently it's the first time it's been on iTunes. Even so I'd have never expected there to be any pent up demand for it! I've just downloaded it as it appears to be the original European version, not the slightly retwizzled UK version that we got when it finally surfaced here in 2002. Every little helps, hope it can go top 100!
Speaking of X-Factor performances who do we think will have one this year? I'm thinking Little Mix, JLS, Olly Murs, One Direction, Leona Lewis, Misha B, Tulisa, Nicole Scherzinger and Labrinth/Emeli Sande (Beneath You're Beautiful), The Wanted, Justin Bieber, Cover Drive/Lawson (since they're with Global Radio), Lady Gaga (return), Pink (return), Rihanna (annual performance) and i'm not sure about Alexandra Burke and Amelia Lily?
I'd love to see Alanis Morissette perform ;_; she did the US one.

I hope they have some rappers on X Factor. The only one I can remember ever performing is Professor Green. But obviously X Factor wants the highest audience figures, and wants to be a family friendly show, so it's more likely to be adult contemporary-friendly artists like Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, Maroon 5, etc. performing.

I hope will.i.am and Nicole maybe perform Mona Lisa Smile on there, and I hope Tulisa performs Live It Up. And Labrinth doing Beneath Your Beautiful on there would be great (I STILL will never understand why he didn't get to perform Earthquake ).

Cover Drive and Justin Bieber I'd love to see on there too, they've released some of my favourite songs this year (Twilight, and most of Justin's album ).

Loreen is having brilliant longevity thanks to the release of the Now album! She hasn't left the top 100 except for a couple of weeks (I assume the single version dropped out before the Now version was released?) and now 'Euphoria' is back  to 87!

They really need to capitalise on any remaining momentum with the next single!

Rihanna's not releasing anything new this year, is she? I doubt she'll be on it. And ooh. Is Labrinth releasing 'Beneath Your Beautiful' next? :D

Pretty sure Ellie Goulding will get a slot too!

Treatment is A-Listed on 1Xtra, so I think maybe that'll be Labrinth's next single, it's a really good song too.

Not sure if Rihanna is releasing another album, but I've read stories of her working with producers recently. I hope we get another album, I've really liked her previous 4 albums.

Yeah, Ellie Goulding deserves a performance tbh. For those who don't know, she's #2 on the Hot 100 this week!!!!

Rihanna started work on her 7th album a while ago, so it could be ready in time for November/December, with the lead sinlge out some times in September/October. I'm hopefuly Kelly will get a slot on X-factor. She's touring in October, so she'll be in the country for most, if not all, of the month.

Ooft. 'Treatment'?! Amazing! My favourite track from the album! I think I even prefer it slightly more than BYB too. So PLEASED. RiRi doing another album would be most pleasing for me. But I thought she wanted to take a couple of years out to concentrate on her "acting"?
Treatment is Labrinth's next single but I'm thinking he's just "killing time" until XF then he can close the era with the Emeli song, just like Jessie did by releasing Who You Are last.

I just remembered that Rhianna - You Da One was top 10 on itunes but not officially.

This has probably never happened before but im wondering has there ever been a #1 song on itunes that didn't get into the top 10 officially?

The Pixies - Bam Thwok.

Although in fairness, that was released in 2004, and was therefore ineligeble.
