June 11, 20187 yr Desktop scrobbling isn't working for me  Every time this happens I scrobble them manually and then the appear twice so I have to delete one set. But then when i don't scrobble them manually it doesn't scrobble at all
June 13, 20187 yr No one's written on my profile shoutbox for ages and now I log in to have two notifications of posts there :kink: My last post there that isn't an advert is from 2014
June 13, 20187 yr Lol I finally made a last.fm account. Except it already isn't scrobbling because plug.dj's redesign apparently no longer supports the WebScrobbler addon on Firefox so that's a good start. I don't really listen to music particularly often so it's kind of pointless but I thought why not x Follow me @bray_pusheen anyway xox

I think that same issue exists on chrome though as I couldn’t seem to get scrobbling to work anymore at the moment. Hopefully their next maintenance mode will address this issue.

June 15, 20187 yr Decided to delete WebScrobbler already because it seems to not work half the time and it has irritating popups when it does work. Also it scrobbled a song with the artist and song title the wrong way round within the first 3 songs I scrobbled and I can't deal with this much bad tagging. -probably just gonna delete last.fm completely in the next few days- (it was a good run xxx)
June 20, 20187 yr New favourite artist tag discovery: cheesy pop group The Cartoons (of 'Witch Doctor' fame) having 'brutal death metal' as one of their tags

June 20, 20187 yr Yeah tagging on last.fm can be weird. One of my faves is when an artist who usually does electronic / experimental music, and therefore gets tagged as such a lot, has an a cappella song and it appears tagged as "electronic" and "experimental". K.
June 20, 20187 yr I'm currently scrobbling off my old MacBook Pro (2008) with a really old version of iTunes/last.fm because that is the only thing that seems to be working at the moment.
July 15, 20187 yr Is anyone else having problems scrobbling from Spotify, or just me? They haven't been going through since Friday night. I don't know if they're just delayed and will come through later or something.
July 15, 20187 yr Is anyone else having problems scrobbling from Spotify, or just me? They haven't been going through since Friday night. I don't know if they're just delayed and will come through later or something.I'd suggest disconnecting and reconnecting 'Spotify Scrobbling' in your last.fm settings and seeing if that helps. If not, you could read through the list of known issues; there's some basic troubleshooting: Scrobbling from Spotify isn't working anywhere Some users have also reported that they cannot scrobble at all from any device, or that while it's working OK from mobile, it's not working from desktop. We're aware of your feedback and are looking into it. Some things to double-check: - You're using the latest version of Spotify. - The Last.fm login is no longer available from the 'Social' heading of Spotify settings page (this is expected). If it's still there, please disable it and update your Spotify app. - You're connected to Spotify Scrobbling here: https://www.last.fm/settings/applications - On the same page, where it says "Connected as", you're linked to the same Spotify account you're using on your device. - In your Spotify account settings, "Last.fm Scrobbler" is listed as an approved application. We've heard unconfirmed reports that logging out of Spotify and back in again can help, as can resetting your Spotify password. It's also been suggested that logging into Spotify via email & password, rather than through Facebook can fix the issue, though we've yet to verify this.If that works, it's still possible it'll 'disconnect' itself again (i.e. stop picking up scrobbles, though still showing as 'connected' in your last.fm settings), so I'd recommend keeping an eye on if your scrobbles are working until they iron out the bugs (whenever that may be). If you're lucky, your last 50 tracks will get scrobbled, but the rest of the missing ones are probably lost. (If you're really dedicated, you could request a data export from Spotify and manually scrobble the missing ones from it, but that's fairly time-consuming.)
August 4, 20186 yr Has anyone else noticed how with some tracks they're tagged normally on Spotify, but then appear on your Last.fm profile as including "- Radio Edit" on the end? (For example, Jax Jones - You Don't Know Me does this). SO bloody annoying, I don't like it at all. I have to keep going in and deleting the scrobbles.
August 4, 20186 yr I've got used to that but what I don't like at the moment is last.fm seems to be double scrobbling whenever I hit pause in the middle of a song for whatever reason and then resume it again. Spent the best part of an hour yesterday deleting double scrobbles. :drama:
