August 19, 201214 yr True class from Ms Bush  but still only the second best song in the top ten :o
August 19, 201214 yr Damn Kate Bush not being top 5. What squeezed her out? Probably Calvin Harris/Example.
August 19, 201214 yr Probably Calvin Harris/Example. Another reason for me to dislike that track then. This is so refreshing to hear. Best track in the top 10.
August 19, 201214 yr I don't feel I've explored Kate Bush enough, this is really good (as is Wuthering Heights obviously) Edited August 19, 201214 yr by C.W
August 19, 201214 yr i like his piece in the song discription here but on polyhex it says that wham rap entered the uk chart in jan 1983??Young Guns entered in Oct 1982? I was there at the time!!! My first ever gig was Wham in 1983 when I was a 14 year old! George is getting a bit mixed up bless 'im. Wham Rap was indeed released in the summer of 1982 but didn't make the Top 75. I can't even say if it made the Top 100. Young Guns became their first big hit later in 1982 reaching No.3. Due to this, Wham Rap popped out again and went Top 10 early in 1983 and the rest is history! Hope that explains the anomaly. I still think George is fantastic after all these years and love "White Light". Scared to think where it would have ended up without the Olympics though! Probably borderline Top 40!!!! August 19, 201214 yr I despise Kate Bushes voice but I actually do like 'Running Up The Hill', however I am not feeling this remix at all.

Ah yes thanks this explains it, so he was right to say it went to radio but they didnt have a fan base as of yet to help it climb high on the chart - a bit like releasing an ep single these days and then re-releasing it later in the release campaign - like Ben Howard nowadays with The Wolves or Florence with Dog Days are Over!!

Combining socially relevant lyrics concerning the contemporary British experience with complex, passionate music, they drew comparisons with both classic rock acts of previous decades--including Pink Floyd and Talk Talk--and more contemporary bands like Radiohead, while pursuing a more mainstream path than experimentally inclined millennial bands like Sigur Ros and Godspeed You Black Emperor. - HMV Video here: 0NFV8dHrZYM track listing 1. August 19, 201214 yr It is extremely difficult to believe this peaked at 35 until today. Justice finally done.
