Not sure but at least HOT is already Silver because of shippings. I guess back in 2000 there was the perception that there would be more demand, so more shippings were made. But it didnt sell enough for that certification.

VB never got a certification based on shippings so I guess it never actually printed that many albums, but it might achieve that soon due to downloads and streaming (or if she agrees to a vinyl print!)

93k from OCC is a rounded figure, so technically it could have been anywhere from 92,500 to 93,499.

Based on possible weekly average sales from back then, it could be the case that its total now is anywhere from 97.4k to 101.5k (and straight down the middle of that is 99.5k).

It would be great to know if it has finally exceeded 100,000 after all these years!

On Spotify, Not Such an Innocent Girl's streams did experience an increase, nothing crazy though:

18/01 - 520 (streams achieved on 18th Jan, revealed on 19th Jan - last "normal" day)

19/01 - 679 (Brooklyn's announcement came in the evening)

20/01 - 2,477 (first full day of Brooklyn's announcement)

Assuming it’s true, typical that NSAIG’s sales are just below my lowest estimation! I reckon that means OCC rounded Victoria’s sales up when they revealed 93,000. Well, let’s hope this week gives it the boost it needs to go over 100k.

I tweeted him to ask about other Victoria sales, hopefully he’ll share.

Fingers crossed we get an update from Music Week later! It won't chart but hopefully it'll be a significant bit of news to report. Alan Jones did post sales for Britney's 'Selfish' when that went #1 on iTunes in recent times.

Oh my at NSAIG appearing in the Apple Music chart! Could this really go properly viral?

Out of Your Mind up 1 to #6 on iTunes. Surely not too much longer until Not Such an Innocent Girl gets overtaken by Harry Styles (who is currently #3).

I’ve always had a soft spot for NSAIG…I have it on CD single! Victoria has a nice tone.

Out of Your Mind is a good 2000 throwback and actually did very well commercially and could easily have been number 1…but the super cool Spiller/ Sophie collab was more successful.

She was much derided for her music exploits but NSAIG was totally eclipsed by Kylie. Nothing she could have done to reach number 1.

She did try again and came closer with the double A side This Groove/ Let Your Head Go in January of whatever year (2003?). Sales back then in January were much lower and the goodwill was more positive in the general press. Can’t remember what was ahead of her that week/ weeks.

On Good Morning Britain they keep flipping between saying she’s iTunes number 1 and just ‘number 1’….they’ve no idea it’s nowhere near the main chart…though if it goes streaming viral maybe it’ll have a main chart renaissance!
