Happy to see The Script #1 (even if it's not their best), but I'd have been happy with Amelia too, so not fussed which way this goes!

The Script at #1 now. With it probably being a close week, this might probably be one of the rare occasions where an album release (and the cherry-picking that results), might be what makes all the difference for The Script.

 

Clique up to #20 now. I take back what I said earlier, it might make top 40 after all. I hope it does, I can't WAIT to see the melt-downs in the chart show thread. :lol: I know a lot of people here will be very, very annoyed if a song like this went top 40. :lol:

Guys even if Amelia Lilly is top 3, that would be an AMAZING achievement for her and great start to her career. I think the song is quite good but not deserving of a number one in my opinion.

Amelia can still go to No.1 offically. Tulisa can still go top 10.

 

Amelia has a performance on This Morning today, probaby around 12:25ish. So she could be back on top of the iTunes by 4pm. If she is, she has won the No.1 slot offically, even if she loses it on iTunes again.

 

Tulisa, on the other hand, has been persuading people to buy Live It Up on Twitter, and it's getting some attention.

 

So it's not doom and gloom yet folks.

Oh well, I hope Amelia can hang on because I can't stand TS's new song and Ne-Yo's song is underwhelming but who would have thought that she'd even be a contender for top 3, let alone #1.

This is true. Many artists I like struggle to even get top 100 hits in the UK, so she's done well.

 

But on this forum there's some songs that have sold 200,000-300,000, and people still insist that they're flops (e.g. Twilight, Don't Go, etc.), so Amelia will probably get the same treatment, but she's done well, and I still think she has a chance at #1 if her performance today boosts her.

Little Mix back to 5. LM, Taylor & Owl City are extremely close though.

 

Fazer looking for an expected huge drop. Number 100 currently.

I am impressed how well Little Mix have held up - Deserved though as good song. Hopefully a few more weeks in the top ten.

 

I am REALLY hoping Tulisa misses the top ten though as the song is truly awful.

You say it wouldn't last, but tbh it has lasted much longer than anyone ever expected. Number one right up until Thursday morning.

 

Even if she drops to #3 officially, it's still a huge achievement for her. Far higher than 'Run For Your Life', 'With Ur Love', 'Ambitions' and 'Nothing's Real But Love' got and they all had X Factor performances. I can't see Amelia dropping any lower than #3 come Sunday.

I think Amelia will definitely debut at #2 at the least. I don't think Ne-yo will overtake her as she's been ahead of him all week and she has had 2nd version to add to her lead. It's at #300 at the moment, which could be enough to be ahead of him combined at the moment too. I would love The Script to get a #1, but also Amelia. So I'm happy either way :)

Doesn't look as if 'She Wolf' will be going top 10 any time soon, #11-14 are all pulling away from the #1 anyway (light red). Tulisa only at #12 combined doesn't look good for her either, I see it debuting at #11 at best. It certainly won't be improving on it's #10 debut on the Wednesday update. Release better material next time, is the only advice we can collectively give her.

Come on The Script :D If they get to #1 that'll be will.i.am's 8th #1 of the 21st century (3 solo and 5 as a member of The Black Eyed Peas). Westlife's members have 12 #1s this century (11 as Westlife plus 'Everbody Hurts') and JLS' members also have 8 (6 as JLS plus 'Hero' and again 'Everybody Hurts'), but I can't think of any other people who have as many as 8.

 

'Play Hard' could actually overtake 'She Wolf (Falling To Pieces)' at the rate it's going - it's still green on Kworb while SW(FTP) is now in red :drama:

 

Clique top 20 :cheer: I doubt it'll climb any further and expect it to start falling by tomorrow but hopefully it's done enough to go top 40 officially this week. Conor/Ne-Yo could just about scrape in this week as well. I don't like 'Turn Around' as much as his first 2 singles but it's growing on me. PSY probably heading for the top 40 next week, doubt he'll make it in this week though. He's now #6 in the USA :o
