November 28, 201212 yr I dunno, 9m viewers on a music show is sure to make some impact on your singles release. Unless you're No Doubt.
November 28, 201212 yr Now it would be a joke if that flopstar Leona got to perform on the final with her sales. Yeah a complete joke having the most successful X Factor winner perform on the final, and the first winner (or any contestant for that matter) to take X Factor global. She needs to do something else. Yeah , she needs radio and TV support. The X Factor performance always massively helps, because Leona is so incredible live, but radio and TV are needed for a hit + a hit album. I'd love to see Leona do one of the duets with a contestant, would be amazing. I really want some new artists performing! Glad we have Pink performing on Sunday for first time which is hard to believe! :o :dancing: Edited November 28, 201212 yr by Karma
November 28, 201212 yr Massive YES to this week's performers as well as 1D and Emeli in the final. :D I'm expecting Bublé and Leona to make an appearance too.
November 28, 201212 yr I'm not looking forward to Emeli Sande and One Direction on the final if it's true - It's beyond predictable. I actually was a really huge fan of Emeli Sande around the time Heaven and Daddy were released but she's just everywhere now and I am growing in strong dislike towards her. However I am very excited for Pink's performance!!
November 28, 201212 yr Could Girls Aloud turn up at the final to perform Beautiful Cause You Love Me? Or not if Kimberley's still in Strictly...
November 28, 201212 yr TBH was anyone expecting X Factor to NOT be predictable for the final? It's fitting to have possibly the most successful act from The X Factor (or at least up with Leona in her "golden era") and one of the most popular artists of the year on the final I think.
November 28, 201212 yr It always amazes me just how much impact an X Factor peerformance can have on a single...Bruno was almost out of the top 10and suddenly he's number 1 on itunes. I mean had people seriously not heard that song before that performance? Its been around for ages! I can't say I have personally ever bought a single after an X Factor performance...anyone else?
November 28, 201212 yr Its been around for ages! I can't say I have personally ever bought a single after an X Factor performance...anyone else? I don't think I have either, but I think the majority of the public only discovered "Beneath Your Beautiful" after that X Factor performance. Wasn't it like #82 or something on iTunes before it was performed? In general an X Factor performance does give the song a boost, but sometimes the impact is very minimal - No Doubt, JLS, and to some extent, Rita Ora and Little Mix. Yeah, I always think that, how can people not have heard it before? I guess the only explanation is that sometimes if it's a really good performance it can make you love the song if you previously just thought it was an alright song.
November 28, 201212 yr All those people saying Leona and Robbie should get another slot, I think it's highly unlikely since they've both already performed on this series and it's unusual for people to perform twice on the same series isn't it? Although having said that I wouldn't be surprised if the One Direction rumours were true.
November 28, 201212 yr Yeah, I always think that, how can people not have heard it before? Because there's no other Prime Time terrestrial music show?

Although having said that I wouldn't be surprised if the One Direction rumours were true. 2009 - Robbie performed 'Bodies', 'You Know Me' and 'Angels' (with Olly), JLS performed 'Everybody In Love' one week and then a mash-up with Alexandra on the final (Alexandra also done 'Bad Boys' earlier in the series) 2010 - Rihanna performed 'Only Girl In The World', 'What's My Name' and 'Unfaithful' (with Matt). Take That also performed 'The Flood' TWICE!! But yeah it is pretty odd when artists are recycled. :\
November 29, 201212 yr So Emeli and 1D for the final - throw in Buble and i think it all sounds very boring - lacking a big name like Coldplay last year!!

November 29, 201212 yr Yeah she was a success back in 2006-2009 shes not now, in facts she could be on her final album imo! Probably her last with SyCo, but I don't think it will be her last ever album. [/greatesthitsalbum]

I mean had people seriously not heard that song before that performance? Its been around for ages! I can't say I have personally ever bought a single after an X Factor performance...anyone else? I don't listen to the radio, only occasionally for the odd 10 minutes or so in the car. If I hadn't searched for Locked Out Of Heaven myself, I wouldn't have heard it (and I only searched for it because I saw it on here...). I think it's perfectly feasible that people haven't heard a song that's still within its first few months of release. When a track is still selling bucket loads after being out for years, ala Chasing Cars, that's when it starts to get more difficult to believe. However not everyone thinks to buy it until ages after release.
November 29, 201212 yr I don't know if you're serious or not... Emeli is only massive in the UK and Ireland (AFAIA), 1D are big worldwide but they are X Factor alumni so it's not the same as having a massive worldwide name like Coldplay.

Indeed, thats what imeant and it was very fresh last year compared to the usual Williams/Buble/other female pop star on there because they are a indie band. Ohh thats right Rod Stewart this week - maybe this week theyll be doing xmas songs? Id love to hear someone do the Pogues and see it up in the top 10 from a performance!!
