I'd love GA to be No 1 but I think it will be Olly Murs, they''re both excellent tracks but to my ear Olly should appeal more to the casual buyer- should be great sales all round and if I'm wrong then no-one will be happier than me!

Voted for Olly. I don't think Something New is as big as people believe it to be.

Sight Of You is released 25th of November.

Olly's song is more radio friendly and will get massive airplay, it has hit written all over it, I'd be shocked if it doesn't shift over 100kin it's first week like both his previous leading singles. I had that as number 1 til I heard the Girls Aloud song was for CIN now I don't know. The first two singles off his last album went number 1 and sold about 500k each, I don't know how popular GA are now as Cheryl solo is a different thing. Flo Rida is the top seling artist of the year so far so on form and song I guess I would actualky have to go for Olly & Flo Rida.
Really really want it to be Girls Aloud however think that Olly will get it - Radio are all over it already and he will also have an XF performance, I'm not so sure that a 'Strictly Come Dancing' performance will pull in the sales needed for GA but if they push themselves on release week they could do the rounds of all the daytime TV shows etc, - Think it will be a close week though and its good to see GA already in the Top 20 on pre-orders even though they have priced the EP at £4.49!

The EP is £1.99...

They have literally just changed it on iTunes - It was £4.49..I was like  when i saw it!

Finally heard Olly Murs new single and it sounds exactly like a Maroon 5 track from their 2007 era, except with Flo Rida on rapping duties. I do like the track though but after the success of 'Heart Skips A Beat' and 'Dance With Me Tonight', I just expected to hear something with more of an edge to it.

GA will orobably perform on CIN as well which Olly won't do as I think X Factor insist on performance exclusives?

It was £4.49 earlier!

One my iPhone, when I search Girls Aloud manually, it appears to be £1.99. However, if I find it any other way, it's £4.49. Needless to say, I've pre-ordered it at £1.99!

And you're saying radio haven't been hammering 'Something New'?

Mcfly-Love Is Easy (Had it's first airing on Radio 2 yesterday)

!

It's not the sound that Mcfly are going with for the 6th studio album though as some of the songs are much more rocky and across between wonderland & Radio:ACTIVE albums

I am praying that the Girls get it, but with the response for the single being so mixed I can see Olly just nabbing it, he will have the X Factor performance after all.

My prediction:

Olly Murs - 01

Girls Aloud - 02

Alicia Keys - 05

McFly - 08

Kelly Clarkson - 10

Labrinth - 14 (but will peak this coming week)

Chris Brown - 32

And you're saying radio haven't been hammering 'Something New'?

I'v heard Olly's new single 5 times today compared to 0 for GA....

Give them time, the song just premiered 5 days ago

It has been played 434 times compared to the 1668 times the Olly Murs song was played

On the other hand the Girls Aloud video has already been played 83 times in just 2 days

Olly doesn't have a video yet
