Fast forward 2014 you be the saying the same thing about One Direction  that's because JLS hit a blip.

JLS "hit a blip" a long time before now, but okay then?

But AS I'VE TOLD YOU, bringing up YTD lists = totally and utterly irrelevant. Instead of lists, give me actual sales and then we can talk, HENCE WHY I ASK YOU THE QUESTIONS because your brain doesn't seem to be processing what I'm actually attempting to drum into your head

You harped on about the reasons why songs fall down the charts fast BEFORE I went on about them not being memorable. Are you trolling right now?!?!

"JLS don't need to quit" IS YOUR OPINION  I can say it's the end for them based on their past few singles + current underperforming single/blatant lack of interest from the GP. Again, MY OPINION.

How on Earth can it be irrelevant when the YTD lists are based on sales? You need to sell well over 200k to make the top 100 these days, which is something JLS have done 7 times already. If you're going to make some arguments at least do some of your own research into the matter. Sales are available in the chart archive.

Can we just ignore he/she/it and move on? Clearly there is no room for discussion with Lady Gaga.

? I'm just frustrated because somebody is failing to see my point

Moderators are supposed to set an example for the rest of the forum.

What are you talking about?  I think they should give up because they make dreadful music, but I've also provided other reasons why I think it's time they called it a day.

Don't  me like I'm talking shite, because I'm not. Every time Eric has tried to give his reasons for JLS not flopping, you change your reasoning, and then it's all boiled down to 'they make dreadful music, that's why they should give up' really. Your whole retaliation is completely inconsistent, making your argument look flawed.

Hopefully HGITW will at least chart higher than Do You Feel What I Feel? Although I can see it peaking lower than Proud at this stage, since it's #8 on iTunes and it's only Thursday. :drama:

Do You Feel What I Feel still remains my favourite track of theirs, gutted that it flopped - but I was hoping this, being before the album release, would at least outpeak Proud :(

You don't think mods get frustrated too?

Jesus Christ, again, I'm talking about their past 3 singles  Nothing they've released recently have done ANYTHING in the charts.

'Lack of general public interest' for a few singles isn't at all a concrete sign that they're over. As you adeptly ignored when Eric said it, The Wanted did averagely with 'Gold Forever' despite that also being a charity single ('Heart Vacancy' and 'Lose My Mind' weren't exactly huge either), but then AFTER that they released 'Glad You Came' which became their biggest hit here and a big hit worldwide as well. All JLS need is one song that connects with the public and their major change in sound with 'Hottest Girl In The World' rather than sticking to the same old formula shows that they are attempting this, it just hasn't quite worked yet.

Besides, re: 'Proud', charity singles have long since stopped being guaranteed tickets to success anyway. The last truly massive charity hit was 'Everybody Hurts' (I suppose 'Wherever You Are' could also count for this but the charity wasn't the main factor behind the success of that).

You don't think mods get frustrated too?

Why would a mod get frustrated over a debate which he/she hasn't actually contributed to?

Leona Lewis's last 3 singles have barely done anything in the chart-would you say she's over?

I'm going to stop conversing with Lady 'Troll' Gaga and think everyone else should too. More due to the utter rudeness of the posts more than anything.

I did, you just ignored me when I was being polite.

I think it still has a chance of outpeaking 'Proud'. It's not plummeting on iTunes any more, still holding firm at #8 despite how quickly it went from 3 to 8. 'DYFWIF?' and 'HGITW' are two of JLS' best singles for me though so it is disappointing to see them being 2 of their 3 least successful singles.

"tried to give his reasons for JLS not flopping"

...but I'm NOT MAKING UP RANDOM SALES HERE  It's just a fact, they HAVE flopped recently.

"and then it's all boiled down to 'they make dreadful music, that's why they should give up' really."

...just stop. I stated that I think they should quit because they make appalling music, but that doesn't take away from the fact that everything else I've talked about is a good indicator that it's time for them to call it a day. All one needs to do is add everything up which I've discussed

I did, you just ignored me when I was being polite.

Well tbf, I probably missed what you contributed. I've just been mainly reading Eric's posts.

I'm a troll because I think JLS should call it a day? Are you being serious?

As for Leona, well yeah, her star is certainly fading, but that's a totally different debate

Can we stop this argument please? It's gone way beyond iTunes thread material now, plus it's one sided and, frankly, stupid. Finito. Capisce? :D
Frankly I would have thought you had better things to be doing than arguing over JLS, Gaga.

 38. Au Seve - Julio Bashmore

Could we soon have our weirdest top 40 hit of the year?
