December 9, 201213 yr I'd like Maroon 5's songs much more if they were sung by someone else. Adam Levine is far too nasal.

December 9, 201213 yr I wish Ed Sheeran would just bore off. Most of his songs just all blend into one.
December 9, 201213 yr Oh well now you're just being silly. It kind of reminds me of All Fired Up by The Saturdays. It's just that ONE synth playing the ONE melody. There could be other stuff happening in the song, but who knows? That synth is so loud you can't hear anything else. I think the beauty of some songs is that you listen to them 10 times, and every time you can focus on a different instrument, but in the chorus of Something New there's basically just that one synth, and it's so loud it gives the impression that there's a lot going on when there really isn't at all.
December 9, 201213 yr I'd like Maroon 5's songs much more if they were sung by someone else. Adam Levine is far too nasal. 'Moves Like Jagger' and 'Payphone' are awful no matter who sings them but I could actually see myself kind of liking 'One More Night' if it didn't have him singing (as it is it's their best song but that's very faint praise). Glad it has underperformed. For a 9-week #1 it hasn't really seemed like that big a hit in the USA, although I obviously say this as someone who doesn't live in the USA :P

Oh I know exactly what you're talking about but your agenda against synth-pop can't really prove that it's not catchy. You can still hear the vocals for one, which is the catchy part.

Do you never actually listen to the vocals of tracks too?
