even if S&S 'overtakes' #1 on iTunes doesnt it need to be a bigger margin than in or around where it is (and has been) for next week- as James could still make up the difference w/ physicals?

S&S should get a boost if it gets to #1 on iTunes.

Im guessing that physicals will drop alot after this week - The Supermarkets seem to have stopped selling it [Or just selling what they have left over] so the only place on the High Street to buy it will be HMV. With it not being sold in as many shops then the impulse sales will also stop.

Quite surprised with how much of a boost 'Don't Save Me' has received! I'm sure Michael Kiwanuka and Ellie Goulding didn't get this far up the iTunes chart when they won the award?

I'm glad 'Don't Save Me' has had a decent boost. I prefer this much more than I ever did 'Home Again' and 'Under The Sheets'[/unpopularopinion]

Even now as a born-again Ellie loon I still dislike 'Under The Sheets'. I did really like 'Home Again' though, shame that never really happened.
I haven't heard 'Don't Save Me' in full yet, but it sounds fairly decent from the bits and pieces of it that I've heard. Home Again and Under The Sheets were quite strongly disliked by me at the time, the latter has grown on me (slightly) since but it's still the worst Ellie song in existence.
Lights grew on me after its resurgance in popularity last year (I even heard it playing in the background of a documentary on Radio 4 once, and they hardly ever play anything post-1995 on there lol).

Lights' success in the US was so unexpected to say the least. I liked it when I first heard it, but its success has really made me see it in a new 'light' (ahem).

But Figure 8 has made me rediscover all of her stuff now. It will be criminal if it doesn't peak any higher officially!

I'm a big Ellie fan too  I didn't know what to make of 'Under The Sheets' originally, but after I loved 'Starry Eyed' and 'Guns & Horses' I grew to love it too. She actually hasn't released a bad single yet IMO. Figure 8 was such a smash though and definitely one of her best. It still makes me sad that it wasn't at least a top 20 hit. :(

Stay is doing fantastically with no video really. 'You Da One' had a video (although didn't get performed on X Factor) and did really badly, especially by second single standards by Rihanna.

I really wish that abomination of a song by Pitbull would just go away now, he's catching up with Olly Murs ATM :(

I think it might be to late for them to take number 1 but then again saturday is a good day for sales so the number 1 may still be all to play for.
Why is this Under The Sheets hate everywhere on BJ!? It's Ellie's best song imo

I like the song, too.

Under The Sheets is Ellie's second best song behind Lights! What is this hate? :(
S&S 111.3% to Impossible's 96.88%. I think S&S has a good chance of getting #1 tomorrow.

If they are selling 10K a day... so 15% is about 1.5K at best and that's for a FULL day... and this is only 12 hours left... and the gap was more than 1.5K I guess... it will be a 800 copies difference and James will win... :(

I think it's too late for this week. James will be #1 on sunday.
