January 28, 201312 yr Oops  Up to you guys tbh. I was thinking Thursday but if we go with that I won't be able to start the voting until at least Saturday AM. If we close on Wednesday then I should be able to get the voting thread up on Thursday. So what do you think? ^_^ I'm definitely for this, as I'm moving out on Friday from the city and completely not sure whether I will even be able to vote.
January 28, 201312 yr Is it bad that I still don't know how to use the multiquote button? See the little '+Quote' button next to the main one? click that for the posts you want to reply too and it will glow turquoise, then click 'add reply'. Don't worry, It took me over two years to find out how it was used :P Oh and I concur, Wednesday would be best.
January 28, 201312 yr Somebody's taking advantage of the newly discovered multi-quote feature :P I have been fully accustomed with the multi-quote feature for MANY years, I'll have you know. ;) I just choose to use it tactically, is all.

Thank you very much for that :D That'll make personal chart replying so much quicker!
January 29, 201312 yr My first entry was already confirmed, so I thought as it was scandipop'ed  Found something I don't think have been on Scandipop :P
January 29, 201312 yr I've looked at Scandipop for the first time and I don't get why my entry hasn't been mentioned ever, especially when they feature artists like Sally Shapiro, who're far more left-field. Maybe my entry's just SHIT and I haven't realised it yet (unlikely :D ).
January 29, 201312 yr i hope you don't mind me asking, but how many are potential undecided vetoes, or is the list actually confirmed to be veto-free thus far?
January 29, 201312 yr i hope you don't mind me asking, but how many are potential undecided vetoes, or is the list actually confirmed to be veto-free thus far? For every contest it is best to just assume that everything can potentially be vetoed until we actually sign off on the final list and the semi-finals begin. The reason I say this is because things can happen during the week that can alter the circumstances surrounding a song and put it from low risk straight to high risk with a bullet. For example it could suddenly explode across the blog scene. We continuously monitor the list for developments that can and often will change the veto status of a track.

January 30, 201312 yr your entry is amazing it's not even typical p4k fodder but THERE IT WAS I know right [x2] I have been visiting P4k WAY much more than lately actually. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing or if it shows, but it's a good site!!!
January 30, 201312 yr I know right [x2] I have been visiting P4k WAY much more than lately actually. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing or if it shows, but it's a good site!!! it's gotten SO GOOD recently with music, i guess it's coz the lines of pop / R&B / alternative are really blurring and some of the creations coming out are just bonkers amazing
January 30, 201312 yr My newly changed entry blows everyone else's out of the water tbfh. Please say this is actually happening. My body is ready
January 30, 201312 yr When confirming your entry to any of the numbered BJSC contests the moderators would like to give y'all a little advice: If you feel the need to include a back up option (and then a back up for the back up) just go ahead and confirm that back up option instead. Sending a back up shows us that you actually recognise that the entry is veto worthy and you are just hedging your bets. Please don't waste our time or offend us by submitting something we all know is clearly not within the spirit of the contest. The detailed research that we (Cal mainly) do into each and every entry means that we are wasting resources on a track we all know is certain for vetoing because we have a process to go though. We go through this process for every entry for fairness even if we want to ditch it outright. This gives us less time to dedicate to borderline tracks which require further research and more of our attention to make the call that is in the best interests of the contest. I specifically mention that this applies to numbered contests as we have different standards for the spin off contests which can often require that entries meet certain conditions. Yes, I know this may read rather harshly. With the registration thread reopening we just want to lay our intentions out clearly (and with this being me that means in a direct and blunt manner.) for new, returning and continuing members. We make continual adjustments to the veto system behind the scenes to make it as close to perfection as we physically can, Cal's classification system has given us a more rigid framework to work with and improved the efficiency and effectiveness of the system. It is however time consuming, which is how we have arrived here. We are currently in a period of long term stability for the contest because of how few changes have been made to rules and formatting. By not sending us on veto goose chases we can continue to work towards ensuring this stability by looking at ways we can continue to make this a great, fun way to discover new music without causing major disruption. Thank you.
