Then why are 'Crazy In Love' and 'Single Ladies' her best-selling songs here?

'Run the World' didn't flop because it was urban, it flopped because it was horrible. (and incidentally, it also bombed in the States, which certainly isn't allergic to "Urban Beyonce".)

They're R&B but they are still mainstream pop songs. The are instant, catchy and in SL's case had an iconic video. I still don't think SL would've done nearly as well in the UK if it wasn't for that video. 'Run the World' didn't flop FYI. It was OA/OS which resulted in its peak but it still sold well. It didn't set the charts alight because the general music-buying public find it hard to connect with a song that lacks a strong hook and melody - which is why it didn't do great anywhere in the world. It certainly isn't horrible - I'd choose to listen to a unique song like RTW over generic electro-pop/dance that other artists churn out constantly.

And to whoever said 4 was a weak album - :o I think it's her second best album, behind I Am...Sasha Fierce. It's full of such great gems like 'Party', 'I Care', 'Start Over', 'Love On Top' and 'Countdown' as well as the album stand-outs 'I Miss You' and 'End of Time'. I admire Bey because she adopted this R&B tribal image and sound in a year when dance-pop and balladry were dominating the charts. Trend-setter, not follower. ^_^

So far:

iTunes #13

Official #21

Thanks. :) Would love it to get a bit higher. Top 10 would be great for it. Hopefully Kodaline's High Hopes can climb a little higher too, currently hooked on that since learning about them on Friday night thanks to following The Saturdays on Irish iTunes.

I'm a beyonce fan, just think I Am... Sasha Fierce is her only "good album". 4 only has around 3 decent songs.

I am sasha fierce is a very good album.

Blimey at Pink. Really suprised me with how well this is doing. Very rare that a 3rd release from her would do so well and possibly be her biggest hit from this album. Had it down to be low top 10/ top 15. Would be brilliant if she'd sneak at week at no.1 somehow.

I echo this exactly!

Funnily enough though, from her GH era, f***in' Perfect also outperformed Raise Your Glass.

Taylor Swift  12 (22)

Edit- It's also at 80, coming for the Top 10 soon!

She's looking for a 3-6(max) place drop! That's better than going from 1-9(-14) or something. Two weeks top 10 is looking possible though. GO GET THAT SMASH NICOLE!! *.*

True. Hopefully she stays in the top 10, then! :D

It's definitely her most "pop" album and that's probably why many name it as their favourite Beyonce album. 4 has a more limited appeal due to it's more Urban sound. Beyonce has got better with each album though in my opinion (still can't decide which is her best album); Dangerously In Love was mainly filler imo and lacked much substance bar the singles, B Day was patchy but had more of an identity as an album than DIL ('Deja Vu' is amazing) but 2008 onwards is when Bey really came into her own - most of her best songs to date have been from her past two albums ('If I Were A Boy', 'Sweet Dreams', 'Scared Of Lonely', 'Broken-Hearted Girl', 'Why Don't You Love Me?', 'Schoolin' Life', 'I Miss You', 'Run the World', 'End Of Time', 'Love On Top' etc.

Smash it JusKInG. Very, VERY pleased all his album tracks are top 300 so quickly. Really hope the video premiere's sooner, rather than later. I also wish they'd release the damn radio edit of 'Mirrors'. Gutting to see 'Blue Ocean Floor' performing 2nd to last (or ever last a lot of the time - but I'm not too surprised really). Such a stunning, Frank Ocean-lite song

Pleased to see 'Suit & Tie' is doing so well (but hardly any surprise). Really is a grower and I find myself liking it more, the more I listen to it. 'Tunnel Vision' is doing amazingly well! Really hope it's a single and it's one that I can see becoming a single in the future.

108. Body Count - Justin Timberlake

HIGHER! I demand this goes higher

I don't think the Saturdays are even going to go top 40 this week.
I know Justin's album is out now, but do the singles from the album usually die down because people are buying the album or do they start to increase?

Usually songs increase if they are on a newly released album. It looks like happening this week, with S&T set to climb this week and Mirrors having decent sales despite falling to #2.

It is the only album I own of her (also Beautiful Liar single) and it's her best, and I remember I bought it while my flight connected with Heathrow back in 2010 <3

4 only has like 3 or 4 good songs... End of Time, Party, Best I Never Had and Countdown...
