Reconnected didn't even go top 100 on iTunes, did they? I'm sure they still will "do a reconnected" or as I like to call it, "a Billiam".

But it was NEVER meant to be serious and was always meant to be "awful". That's the appeal of the song. Dandy* (I think it was him) said it perfectly. It's a HUGE "guilty pleasure" song, in that you know it's terrible, but there's just something to it! (He compared the song to the likes of 'Ice, Ice Baby' and 'U Can't Touch This' and he's spot on with that comparison).

'Gangnam Style' was never meant to be taken seriously either, but the big difference is that's a really good track (In my opinion of course) In short, it doesn't matter what the intention behind a song is, you either like it or you don't. And that's just personal taste, there's no absolute right or wrong about it.

 46 Blackstreet & Dr. Dre - No Diggity

Look at this guys:

"Up to midnight last night, Let’s Get Ready To Rhumble had sold an additional 35,000 copies, which is around 30% more than their rivals (The Sats)."

So they sold about 15,000 copies until now and P!nk should be around the 10,000??

It was post by OCC minutes ago...

If Ant and Dec are 30% ahead with 35000 then the sats will have done approximately 24500.

You're right, don't know what I was thinking... I guess that's why I never had an A+in maths lol!

The PJ/Duncan thing was funny for all of an hour

Which was at least 55 minutes longer than "Thrift Shop", but that still made number one.

uh oh i hope A&D don't rob the Sats of their fastest selling single

It won't, because it took about 20 years to sell this much. It's like how last year Sing had a really high sales week, but it wasn't in its first week, so it didn't count for the "fastest-selling" record.

I think the sheer force of The Saturdays reaching #1 has opened up some sort of wormhole to a bizarre alternate universe where things like this can happen. If so I look forward to what the future brings - 'Dragostea Din Tei' revival please :D

We kind of had one in 2008 when T.I. and Rihanna sampled it!

Think I'm gonna buy Let's Get Ready To Rhumble tonight, just need to set up an account - FULLY SUPPORTING PJ & DUNCAN.

They were on ITV News last night, could've helped 'promotion wise' maybe?

I wish it was funny and I got this, but its not. :( Really really not.

Hopefully it falls off fast.

It's just hilarious. I can't see what people are so upset about. The Saturdays have been no.1 so you can all relax. And that's just ignoring the fact that Rhumble is actually better than most of last (and this) year's no.1s!
Well I've downloaded it and am supporting the campaign. I was just thinking last week why do we build up the xmas number one and ignore the easter number one? So I say let's start a new tradition of fun easter number ones!
Done an article about PJ and Duncan's success on my blog, link in my sig!

Indeed all very suspicious and very 'Billiam' - Like them Reconnected had loads of versions of the track available and done well on Amazon - Some clear bulk buying me thinks! I doubt they will be Top 100 on Sunday!
