Did her song knock Eamon's version off #1?

Yes. Eamon for 4 weeks, Frankee for 3 weeks.

It was a terrible 7 weeks!

2004 was by far the worst year for number ones I've known. That hideous Enya sampling song was number one at a similar time I think? And not forgetting Cha Cha Slide...

YES! I have always thought of 2004 as very poor for number 1s (Lola's Theme was one of very few bright spots).

Lola's Theme, Dry Your Eyes, Toxic (kinda), erm.... No, that's it!

Those were the 3 I was thinking of actually.

It was all about what charted between 2 and 5 back in 2004. That and the album chart. Possibly the best year for great albums in the last decade.
2004 is my favourite year for music ever, along with 2008 and 2012! :D
First time of hearing Fuck It (I Don't Want You Back) on Radio 1 today and I really like it! As for 2004 being a bad year for music, most definitely not! This year holds classics like In the Shadows, Take Me Out, Toxic, Call On Me, Everytime, Lola's Theme, Take Me to the Clouds Above, These Words, Yeah!, Left Outside Alone, Lose My Breath, Hey Ya...I could go on forever!

I've always hated Lola's Theme, I know I'm alone!

Oh 2004 certainly wasn't bad at all for music but the number ones list was something else (I'd add 'Yeah! to make 4 listenable ones). As Jarvis Cocker once sang; they say that the cream will always rise to the top, but I say shit floats. Was certainly the case in 2004. Had a large number of good-excellent top 10 singles.

Those who don't know this song, you better EDUCATE yourself:

...What You're Made Of... :kink:

How loosely are we using the term "classic". :D

Perhaps "hit", as it did make the Top 10. :P
