YAY for the 'This Is How We Do' love *.*

 

Properly loving this album though. She really brought it this era for me :wub:

I'm not really getting the 'This Is How We Do' love, tbh? It's probably the weakest on the album IMO.

 

I cannot get enough of 'Legendary Lovers'. Of course it's very different, but it kind of makes me think this is her 'Where Have You Been'. The lyrics where she sings "TAKE ME DOWN TO THE RIVER" are just amazing!

I cannot explain why it is so loony, but the album really is fantastic. :kink: Top 5 would have to be: Legendary Lovers, Unconditionally, Dark Horse, This Moment, It Takes Two - they're all fantastic! :wub:

I don't think the album is all that great really :( I wanted to really love it.

But it feels a bit like, with some of the songs anyway, that they've struggled to find choruses.

And then just made the chorus to the song an elongated version of words..

Legendary Lovers, Walking on Air, Unconditionally, International Smile & Spiritual are all guilty of this.

 

I don't find the songs as instant as before.. hopefully they take time to grow.

With Teenage Dream you could have imagined every track (more or less) as a single and I can't do that here.

Loving this album. Definitely seems more mature than her previous material (even though I hate music being described as that).

It's all about that top 5 for me at the moment. Could do without the last three at the moment but there is potential for 'Birthday' and 'This Moment' to grow I suppose...

 

'By the Grace of God' is phenomenal.

How can anyone rate Walking On Air last?! :(

Been listening to this all day and 'Walking on Air' seems a lot weaker than it originally was, but definitely not the worst on the album. :(

I just do not get 'This Is How We Do' at all, it's really poor (and quite annoying). Such a shame to rank 'Roar' as low as that too because it really is sensational, but the rest of the album... :wub:

Easily! The intro completely kills it and I can't stand the chorus! :(

But it is so fabulously 90s sounding, dance anthem! :wub:

I need to listen to this properly today, but oh my days By The Grace of God is fabulous <3 Unconditionally challenges Roar for song of the year too.

I don't trust people who don't love 90s dance. Walking on Air has grown in light of the album being mostly uninspired, faceless and hamstrung by weak songwriting.

 

Birthday is fantastic though (the whispered part aside). Tres joyous.

Very impressed! Better than One Of The Boys but of course it can't touch Teenage Dream. Fighting with Demi for the best album of the year title (although ARTPOP will probably challenge that :D)! She has some wonderful single choices here, obviously Unconditionally will be big and then there's the two promo singles, Birthday, This Is How We Do, International Smile and maybe Legendary Lovers!

LOVE IT! For me, it's just as good as Teenage Dream. Hopefully it'll debut with 100k+. :D

omg this album is pretty SHIT. I was expecting at least some HIGHLIGHTS given how amazing Dark Horse is but all I got was Legendary Lovers and even there I only love the backing track (sooo smooth <3 ). :(

I REALLY like this album it's very much a grower. Walking on air for single 3 please

Very consistently strong but is lacking on one that I find AMAZING, the two singles aside. But, still, really love this album.
