June 9, 201313 yr Still hate Get Lucky, and will never ever ever understand how it's done so unbelievably well, or why it's so overtly popular. It's just monotonous and drab. Because tons of people like it. I find it funny when people say stuff like this. A song does well because a lot of people like it. Simple. I can never understand how Barbie Girl did as well as it did but people just liked it  Edited June 9, 201313 yr by Sapeod
June 9, 201313 yr Favourite song for quite some time. Hope it continues its great chart run and gathers some monstrous overall sales :) Curious to see how Blurred Lines sales compare to its first week. Edited June 9, 201313 yr by Sapeod

Most of the time such questions are retorical and don't need answer as the answer is fairly abvious
June 9, 201313 yr Once more a great Top 3. Daft Punk by far my favorite song, but LaLaLa & Blurred Lines are good tracks too :D
June 9, 201313 yr Because tons of people like it. I find it funny when people say stuff like this. A song does well because a lot of people like it. Simple. I can never understand how Barbie Girl did as well as it did but people just liked it  Well, I do realise lots of people like it - I'm not brain dead. But that's a very basic, one-level reason to describe why it's done so well. Lots of songs do well, but Get Lucky has just blitzed the charts. I don't understand what it is about it, that has caused it to do so incredibly well - to me, it's just very repetitive and meh.
June 9, 201313 yr The verse of this is really quite good, but the chorus and la la la bits remain so irritating to me. I really just cannot understand how anyone could enjoy listening to it.
June 9, 201313 yr The verse of this is really quite good, but the chorus and la la la bits remain so irritating to me. I really just cannot understand how anyone could enjoy listening to it. I love it so much :o
June 9, 201313 yr When it got released I never realised how big La La La would be :o I assumed it would get to #1 on 90k and fall down the chart fast, it's doing so brilliantly - I'll eat my words and say that from a chart point of view, it deserved #1. Still don't like this as much as I should, but it's slowly growing on me. Blurred Lines  Would be nice for this to be another four-week #1
June 9, 201313 yr The verse of this is really quite good, but the chorus and la la la bits remain so irritating to me. I really just cannot understand how anyone could enjoy listening to it. I can actually ignore the "la la la" parts, but I can see how irritating it must be - sort of like the "shine bright like a diamond" parts in Rihanna's 'Diamond', which is, in my opinion, otherwise a very good song.
June 9, 201313 yr Thanks Cpt. Obvious! Most of the time such questions are retorical and don't need answer as the answer is fairly abvious If the answer is so obvious, why post the rhetorical question in the first place? No worries though, it doesn't annoy me or anything. Well, I do realise lots of people like it - I'm not brain dead. But that's a very basic, one-level reason to describe why it's done so well. Lots of songs do well, but Get Lucky has just blitzed the charts. I don't understand what it is about it, that has caused it to do so incredibly well - to me, it's just very repetitive and meh. Well it's the comeback single from a largely popular band and it's catchy. I Gotta Feeling was similar in its popularity: catchy and from a massive band. That usually equals massive sales and a great chart run. Edited June 9, 201313 yr by Sapeod
June 9, 201313 yr I'm really loving almost the whole top 10 for the first time in a while, I keep waiting for the top 4 to tire on me but it just isn't happening. Edited June 9, 201313 yr by Chez Wombat
June 9, 201313 yr "Blurred Lines" should sell 170k+ this week I think. The boost from Graham Norton was rather large! Glad to see Passenger holding on  and Olly top 5! :D
June 9, 201313 yr 16 Leah McFall - I Will Survive [D] This is based on the Chantay Savage take of the Gloria Gaynoe tune from 1979. But one suggestion to the singer in the near future. Make Over now. :w00t:
June 9, 201313 yr I love it so much :o Same. I can understand how people would find that part annoying but I find it catchy and a breath of fresh air overall. Blurred Lines is such a strange song but I love it!
June 9, 201313 yr I love it so much :o It's odd... people that I'd usually share similar taste in music with seem to like it but I just can't get the appeal of it.
