Hoorah for Tom Odell. It's a psychological thing but getting a top ten single will help his cause in the media. Can't have the end of year reports going 'Critics Choice winner Tom Odell didn't even manage a top ten single, what a flop!!!!1!!1'.

I can see this one sticking around the top 40 for a while. I think the song's got legs, especially with it's fantastic music video likely to get TV play.

I'm quite enjoying this, not what I expected really! Doesn't sound like a hit which makes it even more surprising it's their biggest single for years.

Ooh, Arctic Monkey just miss out on their first top 10 single since 2007. It's a pity that they've forgotten how to write a pop hook, but they're still one of the best rock groups the UK's got.

 

Also, did Radio 1 just broadcast a swear, or did I mishear the lyrics at the beginning of the song?

They haven't forgotten, they just don't want to and that's the reason why they're still around.

I've never really got behind Arctic Monkeys and this isn't convincing me too either. Far too drab.

 

Glad Another Love got top 10, always knew the song could have been a hit.

Congrats to Arctic Monkeys scoring a #11 SMASH HIT with an out-of-nowhere midweek release!

Thanks. I accidentally deleted the 'J' instead of the '6' earlier, so the first time I posted the 21-40 recap it said 'UNION 15'. I fixed that straight away but didn't realise what had caused that error :P

Decent song (much better than that really dull 'Hold Me' he released a while ago), but his voice is very grating.
