It's a good concept but I feel it relies too heavily on simple themes and the editing is a little dodgy. Those product placement scenes are horrid. Would have liked a slightly grander feeling scene for the final chorus.

Adore this! Video of the year, easily. Although it's not exactly been that strong on the video front (from what I've seen) so far this year. Lived up to my expectations and she has completely "slayed all bases" with this campaign. :wub:

 

I agree with the product placement though, but I kinda brush that off in all videos now as I expect it and watching the Nokia Lumia BTS footage doesn't she mention why it's used (I don't mean for advertising reasons :lol:) I'm sure she mentions "people will think it's weird that she has a phone with her in the jungle and can't charge it etc.. but all she wants to do is take photos of her and the monkey" or something like that :lol:

It is very good but my videos of the year so far would probably be Rock N Roll and I Could Be The One :wub:.

It's a bit of a shit music video really. So much for the whole 'role playing' thing this time around, guess those promo releases were truly a waste of time.

I think what I love about Katy is that she is setting a new standard for popstars. She proves you don't have to be trashy, provocative, drug-addicted or weird-acting to be entertaning. She's just fun and of course the music is great. That's all I want :)

I think it's fantastic. Definitely one of her best ever videos imho. I feel like watching Tarzan now haha :D

Not liking Roar. Like Part of Me, its a good album track, nothing more. Also I like the vid but wish she'd either mime the darn song or act the thing. Don't flit between them
