Ahh right. I have a dab radio and it hasn't updated, just says station unavailable and you have to cycle through pre-set stations so not sure how to get it back.

I have a DAB radio too and it worked for me. But to get it back maybe find out what the new frequency is, search for it manually then add it to the list of pre-set stations (or something like that). I was saying I heard Independent Women on Capital, then the Rishi Rich Project were getting interviewed on Radio 1Xtra, so overall it was a blast from the past last night!

Katy's music is generally more generic than GaGa's yet I find myself more drawn to and interested in Katy's music. Bar 'Judas', GaGa has never really excited me whereas I've been obsessed with 'Thinking Of You', 'California Gurls' (albeit for a week), 'Teenage Dream' and 'E.T.' during their releases.

Lana is closing in on Robin now so Summertime Sadness could end up peaking at 4 but at least that should guarantee a top 5 finish on Sunday!!!!

I wonder if Lana can at some point get the most top 10 hits without going top 5 (if this stalls at #6 officially).

I have no idea what the overall record for that would be but if 'Summertime Sadness' does peak between 6 and 10 then Lana will match the decade-to-date record already (Kelly Rowland has 3 and Lana is among 9 artists who have 2, alongside Akon, Alex Gaudino, Angel, Devlin, Emma's Imagination, N-Dubz, Nelly and Sean Kingston). I think it will almost certainly go top 5 though.

Double post for some reason? Sorry about that.

Woo "Run" still top 80 on itunes :cheer:

I keep forgetting he had two top 10 hits. He has an album coming out soon, so will likely get another top 5 hit.

I had to double check that I'd not made an error with Akon because he hasn't been particularly relevant for years but he's made the top 10 this decade with 'Hold My Hand' (w/ Michael Jackson) in 2010 and of course 'Play Hard' a couple of months ago. Obviously he has plenty of top 10 hits and many top 5 hits from before this decade :P

Akon's wiki also needs updating. It has "Play Hard" peaking at #22, which confused me

I sometimes think Radio 1 has too much talking. I used to "try" to listen to it on the way to work, when Chris Moyles was on it, he'd sometimes talk for 20 minutes without playing any music, and the stuff he talked about was just boring to me. But some stations like Choice FM I don't mind when they talk, since what they talk about is generally interesting.

Where did you work?

With "La La La" undoubtedly still in the official T10, it looks like the final position is between Calvin Harris and Jay-Z. A big fan of both tracks, but Harris deserves it to continue his record. Think Harris will get it anyway, he has the Sunday-Wednesday and multiple version advantage over Jay-Z, hopefully "Holy Grail" can hold on next week.
As much as I love Ellie I do agree with you. I dont mind Burn, but I am so confused why it looks like it is going to be a big hit. Anything Could Happen sounded like one, this just sounds like something she recorded for the sole purpose of keeping her name out there.

I think Burn sounds like a good medium between her usual sound and a more 'generic' sound, which is to be expected given it's produced by Ryan Tedder originally for Leona.

Yeah, it's a great song. They performed it live on the radio last night. Jay Sean has a new album out this week I think.

Most of those people I never realized had 2 top 10 hits this decade, until I really thought about it.

Katy has never done a pre-album on air, on sale single, so I can't really compare. But I assume Lady Gaga would do better in the first week since she seems to have a larger, more devoted fanbase. From their previous albums, Katy's singles were more successful, at least in the UK, so if that continues she would sell more in the long run.
Wasn't 'Teenage Dream' a pre-album single (one of those "countdown" things on iTunes? I cant remember but I could have sworn that was pretty much OA/OS before the album was released?

No it was out the same week as the album I'm sure!

Emeli Sandé (complete with pretentiously annoying accent) says HI. (as does VICKERS)

Yeah that would be my uni's very own accent. :(
