Cavetown really deserved better.

Hallo Leben isn't a bad song, I think I just sent it very soon after I discovered it thinking it would grow on me more than it did. The thing with Sugar and Brownies is that it was such an obvious Q that I've sort-of become disattached to it, I mean I've always thought it was a great song but I don't think I would have sent it if I didn't think Buzzjack were going to 'lap it up' so to speak, and I think that's what has put me off a little bit.

 

And Cavetown is one of those songs I do genuinely love - it'll probably end up in my EOY Top 10 or just outside and I'm disappointed at it's performance here but that's the luck of the draw!

Quite a strong list of songs I think, Faouzia and CHROM are neck and neck for my fave of the year. Cathedrals despite winning for us aren't one I go back to much these days, it's a good enough song sure but doesn't hold up to the others above imo. Caramel being low is only because I sent it for some novelty fun but when ranking everything seriously it really hasn't held up to being amongst my top 30 even, oop. Alice Gray was just something to fill a contest with but one of my least faves despite lots of pop fans voting it who don't normally vote for us in a big way. 'Moon Spells' was evidently not up to my high witch house standards either as I got bored of it right away lol. Nothing touches Generik though.. back when I sent anything trying to breakthrough :') really don't know why I bothered sending that tbh.
