If this remix gets deleted rather quickly, it could still just sell enough to go top 200 next Sunday - meaning Ellie Goulding could have a rather massive climb the week after, like 185-3

As long as Ellie does not beat Pixie's record. Pixie went 73-01 with 'Boys and Girls' as it was released on a Saturday!
The trouble with 'Born This Way' wasn't just that it wasn't a very good song, it's that it was a poor song that was supposed to be a hugely important statement. And then as soon as it came out, all the Gaga stans started saying 'Judas' was going to be the really massive song from the album but it turned out to be even worse.

I'm not sure she isn't repeating the same mistakes by drip-feeding all the announcements about the new single.

In no sense whatsoever was 'Judas' worse than 'Born This Way'. The lyrics were actually imaginative and were built around a vaguely original concept rather than the cliched, cringeworthy BTW. I know the chorus of 'Judas' is the weakest part of the song but the chorus in 'Born This Way' isn't that much better.

Maybe within the top 75. The all time record is Westlife's "Mandy" which climbed 200-1 in 2003.

I think they meant that Judas sold less-which it did. Screamed try hard to me anyway.

I got the feeling Miley might just stall later or start slowing down, and probably Avicii might just sneak back in there. Its not as if Miley has got an astronomical lead over Avcii.

Yep, sounds like Wishful Thinking to me... ;)

01. Miley Cyrus - We Can't Stop 100%

02. Avicii - Wake Me Up 66.9%

03. Tinie Tempah Feat 2 Chainz - Trampoline 36.4%

Pretty sure the remix, if it's counting as official sales, will now have done enough to be top 75 this week. Remix Junkies' version of 'I Love It' was deleted on the Monday IIRC and still went top 50 and that had a similar peak on iTunes.

She's well out in front with one of the most anticipated singles of the year, she's smashing it!

 13. Burn (Alienator Remix) - Ellie Goulding

^ LOL oh dear. I still can't see her getting #1 next week tbh (especially if Katy Perry is releasing OA/OS)

Her record company obliviously not noticing this is making me laugh.

And Tinie Tempah is fuck awful.

Agreed about Tinie.

This is going to be the worst iTunes thread of the year. Congratulations Great British Public :mansoncheer:

Nobody is forcing you to read it if that's what you think.

That's not a massive lead over Avicii, I wonder if Avicii may just pull off a shock result this week! It's unlikely but I live in hope!

Glad to see Miley with a good lead on Avicii! Hope she can sell 150k+, would be great! Finally getting a top 10 hit! :D

I was a complete Miley fangirl back in the Hannah Montana days.

However, I'm not the biggest fan of We Can't Stop, it just doesn't sound like a number 1 to me. :(

Why would the Burn mix get deleted if it's selling?

Because it's fake (apparently)

And speaking of that:

Will be top 10 any minute now! :o

Is it? I haven't got iTunes but the Alienator remix on Amazon looks official to me and that's available to buy now

I knew that releasing a remix before the original sounded odd, so I did some research and now I have a few reasons to believe this is a 'fake' release

1. The 'alienator' remix of Burn is not on YouTube

2. The artwork cover is exactly the same as Burn, but with "(Alienator Remix)" added in a different font type to "ELLIE GOULDING BURN"

3. The song sounds almost exactly like the original, the only difference being that there is a beat ontop of it, a bit like The Hype Squad's version of Black and Yellow

4. It's 79p whereas the original is 99p

5. According to iTunes the original will be released on the record label "Polydor Ltd. (UK)" whereas the Alienator remix is on the 'record label' "Alienator"

I wouldn't be surprised if this gets deleted sometime next week.
