Seems odd, since I think only one of them is even 30.

Siobhan is 29 the other 2 are 28.

Justin Timb is 32.

Other ages are available.

And Jay Z is over 40. As is David Guetta.

Boring set of additions to match a boring set of removals.

Nice to see continued support for Paramore and Fall Out Boy - wonder whether either can reach the T100 with these post-album singles; I hope so after two T40 hits.

As mentioned in the prediction thread, that's bull crap. Jay-Z & Justin are far older, yet they're getting playlisted. They don't care about the artists, they prefer the audience. I still don't think we should be panicking too much about MKS anyway.

Dr. Dre was like 46 or something when they played I Need a Doctor lol.

Arctic Monkeys off. :(

Anyway great additions for London Grammar and Dan Croll. :D 6Music added "Stormur" this week so maybe that's the new Sigur Rós single.

Pity le youth & Justin have stalled might stop their rise . And Sean Paul looks like getting another hit 10 years into his uk chart career!

His rise back into UK chart relevancy is still baffling.

Sean Paul just needs to hurry and deliver a Singles Collection. Some genuine, classics will be included! *.* (I also think it'd be bigger than people would expect it to be to!)

Yeah. Got 2 Luv U's success wasn't too surprising, but I never expected She Doesn't Mind to debut as high as #2 (and then spend 3 weeks there, and almost make the year-end top 40).

I'm not really sure if it would sell well, but he probably does have enough well-known songs for one. And songs like Breathe, Break It Off and Baby Boy could be on there since they're verging on duets.

Indeed his first single charted as far back as 2001 but i suppose there isnt many other artists who do his kind of music and give it a commercial feel, maybe gyptian or in the uk Stylo g?

Be interesting to see how quickly it drops on itunes now because although its clearly popular radio 1 seem to be its main backers!

I'm not sure they're holding up just cos of Radio 1 to be honest. Look at the likes of the recent Bastille/Biffy/Vampire Weekend singles, all of which have been hammered by Radio 1 yet didn't go near the Top 40. That said, I'm not really sure why the Arctics are holding up so well, though I'm not complaining :D

Yea i was thinking that, the chart run will have meant other stations have taken it on since etc though r1 support will still be significant id say. Itll be interesting to see how it goes|!

Great to see Disclosure and Klangkarussell promoted to the A-list. :cheer:

Nice addition for the excellent London Grammar. :D

Surprised and disappointed to see the Arctic Monkeys' removed already. :nocheer:

Think the Monkeys have had 8/9 weeks on there, pretty good!
Does anyone know why they randomly keep playing Shake It by Metro Station just recently? I hadn't heard it on Radio 1 for years and now I've heard it played once/twice a week for the last few weeks... weird!

Hoping Bastille get moved up to A soon.

TBH I reckon One Direction should be C list but thats just me.

They've probably refreshed their recurrents list and added on a few spice tracks. many stations do it where they'll take a track off rotation & rest it when it comes off the playlist, then re-introduce it sometime later on down the line. Although Shake It is a bit of a random re-add. It's well over 4 years old now & the age group they want listening to the station these days probably won't remember it or will think it's a new release.

Oh I didn't know there was a specific recurrents list. That would probably explain it then, there's a few other older songs which they play a lot, so I guess they must come from the same list.

Bit surprised at no Jessie J seeing as 'Wild' was B listed straight away but I am sure they will playlist her next week. I also really hope MKS do get playlisted.

Disappointing playlist all round this week, would have loved to have seen Miguel and Le Youth move up.
