September 1, 201311 yr And we have our token 'crippled by nerves' audition... She sounded really really good the couple of notes she did get out though :(
September 1, 201311 yr She's brilliant, once she got there she blew the audience away but pretty much up until the keychange she barely got a single word right :drama: It's alright to say it was nerves but if she did that at the first audition, god knows what she'd be like potentially faced with weeks of performing live on TV. But regardless, best voice of the night for me definitely. She just has one of those voices. She could really go places if she controls her nerves etc. - I mean 16? Jesus :o
September 1, 201311 yr Ugh given the audience you'd think she'd just knocked out a note perfect I Will Always Love You or something.
September 1, 201311 yr I didn't think it was that great. Quite messy. She's young though and has a lot of potential! Will be interesting to see how she grows throughout the competition.
September 1, 201311 yr Come on now Louis, she was brilliant once she got going but she's hardly Leona Lewis or Alexandra Burke?!
September 1, 201311 yr I thought we'd have seen all those from the room auditions last night tonight - it might get a bit confusing and they could have fitted them all as it got quite slow in places.
September 1, 201311 yr The format now seems a bit messy, what with having people like Luke not being shown until next week...
September 1, 201311 yr oops that's the girl at the centre of a drugs scandal http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/x-factor/x-fa...-will-be-taken/
September 1, 201311 yr oops that's the girl at the centre of a drugs scandal http://www.unrealitytv.co.uk/x-factor/x-fa...-will-be-taken/ Erm LOL. That's called pulling a story out of one's ass.
September 1, 201311 yr It's just basically the same show as last night but with more VT :drama: Anyway my favourites were Tamiera (apart from the whole forgetting the words part), the one who sang Read All About It yesterday and Sam, the rest were so average. Edited September 1, 201311 yr by Jade
September 2, 201311 yr Tamera looks a lot like a mix between Leona Lewis and Javine! There is something about her that, despite forgetting her words, gives off worldwide star. IF treated correctly, I genuinely can see her being our own Rihanna. She just has THAT appeal. She reminds me of RiRi during her 'A Girl Like Me' era (obviously she'll be nowhere near as successful, but I think she has potential to do decently). Looking forward to seeing more of her. The only other flaw I picked up on was, she doesn't know her range and thinks she has a bigger voice than what it is actually capable of. Sam was good although I absolutely despise that song as I find it OTT and shouty, no matter who covers it. The same with 'And I'm Telling You (I'm Not Going)'. Alejandro was decent enough, good song choice (better than yday) but he's a bit limited/restricted vocally. Also it annoys me when someone covers 'Hero'. We never seem to see them belt out that final chorus, like Enrique does. They always seem to treat it like it's just another, normal chorus. I'd like to hear the powerful ad libs please! Agreed with everyone else that they didn't put through, although that woman who sang 'Read All About It' was still as boring as she was the first time round.
September 2, 201311 yr God Alejandro made me swoon last night *.* I have to say that unfortunately he's my favourite so far, nobody else has hugely impressed me - the girl at the end made far too many mistakes, the whole point of double auditions was to get rid of the contestants that can't perform in front of an audience, and she clearly can't. Thank god Fil didn't get through though, which was my biggest worry about last night's episode.
September 2, 201311 yr My favourite so far is no doubt that prison officer woman. SO amazing. Am I the only one NOT impressed by Tamera AT ALL? YES she has a nice voice but REALLY?! :/
September 2, 201311 yr My favourite so far is no doubt that prison officer woman. SO amazing. Am I the only one NOT impressed by Tamera AT ALL? YES she has a nice voice but REALLY?! :/ I wasn't impressed, as she strained at times and it was quite messy. If you compare it to Leona's version of "I Have Nothing" it pales in comparison. HOWEVER, she has a lot of potential. The X-factor really helped Leona develop her voice. If you hear her earlier stuff, before X-factor, her voice could come across a bit immature and her belts weren't as good. During X-factor, with the help of the vocal coaches, she developed her voice well. She went from the 1st week of the live shows with her average performance of "I'll Be There" to belting out HUGE songs such as "I Have Nothing" & "All By Myself". I think the same can happen to a certain extent with Tamera and Tamera is only 16, where as Leona was 21. So Tamera has a lot more time to develop her voice.
September 2, 201311 yr Tamera was not perfect last night but the potential she has is massive. I truly believe she has the potential, with the right song choices (Whitney style ballads are not what she should be doing, she should be doing more urban and even some soulful stuff, like a mix between Rihanna and Alicia Keys) to become one of the biggest stars ever to come from the show.
