September 6, 201313 yr They are 17 on iTunes and have Alan Carr tonight so I think they will come in at low top 40. Kylie managed 31 with Timebomb on a Friday release so I don't see why they'll miss out. Unless they suddenly slip today and Carr doesn't help then I'd think the same as you :P I would be happy if it just scraped in low top 40 that would be incredible given the messy release strategy... Looks like Katy could end up selling closer to 190k this week! I love these big selling weeks...we've had so many 100k+ weeks in 2013 so hopefully there are more to come

I love these big selling weeks...we've had so many 100k+ weeks in 2013 so hopefully there are more to come I'm not so sure about 190k, realistically 165k to 170k, mind you I was wrong with Ellie, I said 105k and ended up on 116k  only 11k out -_-
September 6, 201313 yr Drake coming for that top 5 :cheer: Arctic Monkeys back in the top 25 x2 as well hooray. Would say it's not great that 'Do I Wanna Know?' is back ahead already but that's mainly because of the iTunes pre-order of 'AM' so it's quite misleading. 'Strong' still holding at #17 and now top 20 on iTunes, really crossing my fingers for it to hold top 20. Yeah Drakes doing well getting top 5 even if the other tracks have been there for a while and their sales are dipping whilst Drakes are still on the up or steady due to his OA/OS release. I think Eminem will be like Drake next week due to the way he is releasing it - with airplay still building. Does Beserk have a video? Its certainly a great comeback by him very different sounding - back to the Marshall Mathers LP style!!

I still think that Timebomb may hold the record for biggest difference between iTunes top 40 peak and official top 40 peak. Edited September 6, 201313 yr by iain

September 6, 201313 yr Kylie's Timebomb is a perfect example of why Fridays are not a good day to release, had Kylie released per normal she would have got a top 10 hit.
September 6, 201313 yr I still think that Timebomb may hold the record for biggest difference between iTunes top 40 peak and official top 40 peak. Wasn't there a song recently that got #1 on iTunes but charted really low officially? I think it was a campaign song of some sort.

September 6, 201313 yr Wasn't there a song recently that got #1 on iTunes but charted really low officially? I think it was a campaign song of some sort. I think it was Gerry & The Pacemakers- You'll Never Walk Alone last September. Around about this time last year. Following the Hillsborough Independent Panel report being released. And a campaign set up by Liverpool fans.
September 6, 201313 yr Was expecting more from Katy Perry, I suppose I over-estimated it due to the massive sales 'Get Lucky', 'Blurred Lines' and 'Wake Me Up!' which all exceeded expectations so I thought that would be the case with 'Roar'. Thrilled that London Grammar is still #17, although I'm still not confident it will remain Top 20 (hopefully it will, still we can say quite confidently say it will out-peak 'Wasting My Young Years'.
September 6, 201313 yr I'm not so sure about 190k, realistically 165k to 170k. Well, she sold around 30k on Wednesday/Thursday. Friday/Saturday tend to have higher sales right? And she released her video just yesterday, so I can see it getting tons of play today/Saturday to help out sales. I think it'll sell another 40-50k landing her on about 170k-180k come Sunday. Either way, it's going to be her largest sales week. :cheer: Edited September 6, 201313 yr by Envoirment
