As funny as it would be to see it flop Leanne Mitchell style I think this will do better than her album. September 5, 201311 yr 'Latch' and 'Lightning Bolt'? Interesting and inspired choices to cover. (I'm not the biggest fan of the former but the latter is Jake's best for me). It's funny how she is given the "covers album" to release whilst I imagine Leah McFall will be given mostly original stuff!

September 5, 201311 yr It's nice that they're getting it out there and there are some interesting covers for once but I feel that there should be more original songs. They need to get the promotion right this time though, that was the main downfall last time.

If they wanted more original songs that would probably have delayed the release and at least it's an interesting selection with none of "the usual suspects". If this album does well then it will generate good publicity for the next series.

If this album does well then it will generate good publicity for the next series. Yeah, I am glad that there is some interesting choices like Latch and Lightening Bolt on there. I think it's good that she's the first one to announce new music though as last time, all the other finalists had music out before Leanne and so she became a sort of joke as in 'Where is Leanne now?' before she had a chance to even respond with any music. What will make this a success is good Radio 2 airplay and heavy promotion during release week ie Strictly Come Dancing, BBC Breakfast, Graham Norton/Alan Carr, The One Show.

October 20, 201311 yr That new version of Ho Hey is really really good! I like how it's not just straightforward cover versions and it sounds like it's something that could be successful if it was actually pushed. It sounds IDEAL for the Radio 2/Heart audience so it's annoying that Radio 2 have ignored her.

October 22, 201311 yr Andrea will be on BBC Breakfast tomorrow! In Manchester in the morning for @BBCBreakfast on @BBCOne - 6am- 8:30am! (let me know if you're watching so I'm not the only one up early) Hopefully she will perform. :)
