Spice Girls weren't doing something unusual to everyone else though... CD1/CD2/Tape was standard practice. :unsure: Any single released by any act from the physical era could be accused of being based on "multi-buys", if fans snapped up all versions. However, considering the Spice Girls consistently went Platinum, a huge amount of their sales would have been made up of casual purchases of just one format.

 

This situation with The Vamps is somewhat more unique! Is there 3 CD singles, or 4? Lots of different digital versions. I'm not against it, it's actually rather clever to maximise potential sales, but it's certainly not standard practice.
