Not usually, no. But then The Voice ones didn't before this year either.

Ellie's been confirmed as performing Burn.

I doubt it, they did the same last year but like Scott said they did change so The Voice ones charted this year.

I hope they show up on the iTunes chart so we can see how well each of them are doing.
I think if the X Factor wanted to let their songs chart they'd let them show up on the iTunes feed too.
It's blatant manipulation of the charts. If they sell enough, they should be listed whether Cowell wants them to or not.

Now here's a strange one:

#162 Barenaked Ladies - Odds Are.

It's a new single from them. I thought it might be there as a result of Radio 2 play, but it's not on their list. Any overarching reason why it's top 200?

One Republic now number 1 combined.

I knew from last night that this would happen. I guess it will be one week for Miley Cyrus at #1.

To be #1 individually and combined virtually gurantees the official number 1.

Has there ever been a time when a song was #1 combined & individually but didn't get there on the official chart?

X-Factor performances are allowed to chart on the Australian singles chart, so there should be no problem with including them on the British singles chart as well.

I hope they do chart so it's a bit of an indication as to who's most popular/least popular. ^_^

77. Glee Cast - Make You Feel My Love (Glee Cast Version)

Great to see this so high!

I've only seen it happening in Australia, but X-Factor is pretty much the biggest show in the country there when it's on and still it doesn't REALLY monopolise the charts too much. The highest I've seen one chart is last year's winner Samantha Jade who I think got to something like #12 with a version of Heartless by Kanye West, and this year's frontrunner Dami Im who got to #15 with Bridge Over Troubled Water. Most weeks, one of them goes top 10 but it's not a huge domination. I'm kinda glad they don't count though, because I can already imagine the moaning that they're 'flooding the charts' if one or two got in the top 10

(lol at how in the process of me typing and posting this, SevenSeize posts something saying 'flooding the charts' too, spooky)

Completely agreed, whichever songs are selling the most should chart and shouldn't be blocked from doing so.

I don't see why Cowell would have a problem with them showing up (and giving an indication of who is doing well) anymore, after all, The X Factor USA revealed the exact order each week last year..

Nevermind the fact someone (Leah) can go top 10 and still not win.

I'm pretty sure all talent show performances released on iTunes very rarely reflect the voting order/popularity anyway. I mean people wouldn't buy a performance by a ""comedy act"", but that doesn't mean no one's voting for them. (Have any XF performances actually shown up before on iTunes? I definitely recall seeing a few before..)

Actually, one week on the Australian version a girl called Joelle (poor girl was mentored by RedFoo) ended up going to #1 on iTunes with her performance of Joey by Concrete Blonde, but she was in the bottom 2 (and got eliminated)! I think it only got to #5 or something before the elimination and went up as a result, but still it shows that indeed it might be that indicative.

They haven't heard officially since the X Factor performances were made available on iTunes since 2010.

Don't think they will to be honest

Wilkinson's Afterglow is out tomorrow. Hopefully it'll do very well and enter the Top 20 on iTunes, it's been on YouTube adverts and the like.
