October 16, 201311 yr PANEL OF DOOM Cherly 'the voice' Cole Chris 'pretentious c*unt' Martin Tulisa 'talentless whore' Contostavalos Simon 'small penis' Cowell
October 16, 201311 yr At this moment in time I'm pretty sure Simon Cowell will be back, even if it is only for the one series. I'm sure ITV will be begging for him to be back, and if all of the judges leave then they will need a familiar face to add some sort of continuity. I could see Olly Murs as a judge, having an alumni on the show wouldn't be such a bad thing. I always find we're very wide of the mark when it comes to guessing the next judges though. I'd hate to see Louis leave. The show just won't be the show without him. If Simon came back then I think Louis would probably stay on.
October 16, 201311 yr I think X Factor USA usually announces it is continuing for another season by now, so it looks like this season may be the last. Therefore I'd expect Simon to return to X Factor UK in 2014 and I think there's a chance he may bring Demi and even possibly Kelly with him too. Quite a few people on Digital Spy forums seem to think Simon would be likely to bring Demi to the UK version too if he comes back. I think Olly Murs is a good suggestion too, so he could join Simon, Demi and Kelly. I don't know whether Nicole will return for another series but I hope she does!
October 16, 201311 yr No matter how many new twists or new judges they try and get, they're not going to escape this now-"doom and gloom". Strictly have won the battle. The X Factor needs to die. It's not gonna stop you watching it though is it? I found last year really boring but I'm still here, watching as avidly as I always have.
October 16, 201311 yr Oh yes, I forgot about Olly. If Louis does go he seems the most likely choice for new male judge. Highly doubt Kelly would be back though, or even asked back.
October 16, 201311 yr They need judges that are actually dedicated to the job and not just on there for a career boost and media attention, like those on Strictly. Having a different line-up each year just gets tedious.
October 16, 201311 yr For all it's proclamations of being a 'singing show' it's always been so much more than that. It's just a BONUS if we get some actually good singers/bands from it. Really? I myself do find it to be a singing competition more-so than anything else it can be categorised under. It can be quite easy to become wrapped up in all the "drama" of the show, but it's through a passion and love for the contestants, surely? Its main objective should be to find the next big recording artist who is going to sell however many albums and have career longevity; not a show where people only watch to see if the judges are having a spat with one another or if the contestants are having a breakdown on live television (although that IS what it has become over the past years, and something that the show has latched onto and now depends on more than any talent that they'll find). It's not gonna stop you watching it though is it? I found last year really boring but I'm still here, watching as avidly as I always have. I remain committed to the show in the hope that I'll find somebody with great talent and who I can grow to love and follow in their future career - not whatever happens aside from singing/performances on the show. Glad I tuned in last year for Carolynne, Union J and James - and this year I'm so glad I tuned in for Tom, Giles, Sam Bailey...
October 16, 201311 yr I will probably cry infinite tears of happiness and never recover from fangirl meltdown if Demi was a judge over here - on UK primetime TV every week for a couple of months  Wouldn't surprise me at all if they got Olly or perhaps one of JLS or something. Preferably Olly, him and Demi along with Nicole would be a perfect panel <3 Not sure who I'd have 4th, idk if they'd have three female judges but Mel B would be fab as a judge - as I said she's terrible as a mentor though so she could have the groups as they mess themselves up  I very very much doubt Kelly would even contemplate returning to the UK, she didn't seem to much enjoy it in 2011 and nor does she seem to enjoy judging in the US. It's not gonna stop you watching it though is it? I found last year really boring but I'm still here, watching as avidly as I always have. I am exactly the same! Ella went and although I quite liked James and loved Rylan as a person, I hated Union J, obviously Christopher and especially Jahmene so I was all 'NEVER WATCHING THIS SHIT EVER AGAIN' and yet I intently watch every week. I'm actually quite enjoying this series too, there's only the two boybands and Nicholas I really dislike although Lorna going was in the same zone on the 'f*** this shit' scale as Carolynne for example. Get back to me in a few weeks when we've probably lost 3 or 4 of my faves as a 'shock' and I will change my mind but I always come rushing back!

I guess it comes down to what you want from it as much as anything. I watch it for entertainment and in that respect it provides no end. Half of the reason it's so entertaining is because it's so ludicrous and takes itself so seriously and I really do LOVE getting RILED UP by a hateful contestant like Abi. I would certainly say though it's transcended merely being a singing competition, it's now predominantly about entertainment. It's kind of like how in the early days Big Brother was thought of as having some kind of insight into people/personality/how people react when they lose control but quickly became exploitation for entertainment. Fair enough that was a large part of why it failed in the end (despite being resurrected), but it's a similar situation to X Factor in my eyes.
October 16, 201311 yr I have to say Liam's ABJECT HATRED of every boyband in existence has been my favourite X Factor thing this year.
October 16, 201311 yr THE BEAST would be INCREDIBLE but there's no way they would get her given how much the BASICS on twitter etc. hated her when she was a guest judge.
October 16, 201311 yr THE BEAST would be INCREDIBLE but there's no way they would get her given how much the BASICS on twitter etc. hated her when she was a guest judge. She was HORRID when she was guest judging. Just a fake Kelly wannabe, and the "okay.com" shit was just... :drama:
October 16, 201311 yr I don't think that was what she was doing at all. It may have seemed that way, but she was always over the top and full of shit when she was a contestant, they just edited it in such a way as to keep the braindeads from being offended by an actual PERSONALITY being present. I guess I always root for someone who is a bit loud/brash and generally crazy over a bland drip like Cherly or an incompetent fool like Tulisa.
October 16, 201311 yr I actually really loved Alexandra as a judge. She showed so much of her winning personality and warmth. It was like good old Beyonce Alex was back and sitting in that judging chair fan-girlling like fuck over the great stuff and dishing out the right amount of truth tea to the deluded.
October 16, 201311 yr Alexandra  PLEASE NO @ DEMI. Within about 5 minutes of watching X Factor USA the other day, she'd wound me up with her blatant, sickening sucking up to Simon, criticisms that barely made sense, and (she kinda can't help this) her god awful accent. Very irritating personality, imagine it wouldn't take long before half of the viewers felt the same way.

October 17, 201311 yr If the X Factor wants controversy, then they bring back Dannii. Kylie is a judge on The Voice, so it would be interesting to see how they would react to each other as judges? I hope Rita Ora is nor brought back, can't stand her.
October 17, 201311 yr Well I can safely say that last year was my final series I watched in full and that I've only seen sporadic clips on YouTube just so I can be slightly 'with it' for the purposes of my blogging and day to day followings. And I for one can hand on heart say that I don't miss watching it in full one bit now. I always found my loyalties split with Strictly since about Leona's series onwards and now it's nice just to watch the one show on a Saturday night. Strictly is feel good telly but X Factor is really only feelgood up to the point when the hopeless likes of Union J and District3 and Rylan are being advocated over say, Kye Sones or Carolynne Poole who deserved to go further and be given more of a fair chance. I don't want to feel angry on a Sunday night because Louis Walsh has once again not engaged with whatever he has left of a brain. As for judging next year I doubt very highly all these press rumours about Olly being a judge are or will be true. I LOVED him and Caroline on Xtra last year - they were like X Factor's very own Miranda and Gary - but he left to give his music more focus and next year he'll be writing and then releasing his 4th album, so maybe performance wise he'll be back like he always is. But doing Xtra and his music nearly left him on the verge of depression from exhaustion and being a judge is even more all consuming than hosting the show or Xtra. And personally I love him for the music first.
