I knew 'Viva La Vida' had missing chart weeks but I didn't realise this was due to the instant grat rule - I seem to remember many other songs were ineligible until the physical release date, was this because of the same issue? If so, were sales combined for them when it came to totals?

Also, is there any particular reason why 'Survival' by Eminem' is performing the best out of the ineligible singles of his despite currently having a much worse peak?

That was because they only became eligible the week before the physical release so that shops had stock to place on shelves, those were the days. In that case yes download sales pre release were added to totals as per gnarles barkley if that's what you mean. Even when it dropped out of the charts through the cd being deleted it continued to have its download sales added though it appeared nowhere on the chart. Just an example.

Ed Sheeran is releasing a new song, it'll be the theme tune for the new hobbits movie.

Cheers. I guess that explains why some songs released 2005-8 would debut between outside the Top 10 to as low as the bottom of the Top 75 before shooting up to its peak in the second week then. Kind of reminds me when songs pre-2004 would enter on imports very low down the charts before physically being released.

 1. The Monster (feat. Rihanna) - Eminem

 2. Look Right Through (MK Edit) - Storm Queen

That awful song off the top! :cheer:

Urgh! That awful song has returned to the top spot. <_<

Oh dear, Britney is already plummeting. She won't be top 10 on sunday then. :(

 67. Rudimental - Free (feat. Emeli Sandé)

:cheer: Hopefully this can go top 40 soon - certainly looks likely the way it's going. (and as Escapar (sp?) would say - should be 66 places higher :heehee:)

Is he the main star this time after cruelly being overlooked for the first one? :D

It's not out till tomorrow, ie in 90 minutes.

They should be able to chart from tomorrow, but who knows with the OCC.

Anything involving separating sales seems to be too much for them to handle

Whoops, I didn't know that! :o

Thanks for correcting me ;)

Haha - this made me giggle.

Honestly though - annoyed he will be associated with the film.

Aren't people 'over' him already - if not then they should be.

Are expecting any of Eminem's songs (not monster or berserk) to fall now that more people will be buying the album?
