The OCC must have changed their mind about the Eminem songs some time today then, as all 3 songs were in the top 15 of a midweek update for today from a ~reputable source~ (and they were all up there in yesterday's mids as well).

 

I have fixed the update so the positions are correct per R1 anyway (the OCC website is also showing the lower positions so it seems these are the ones they're sticking with now).

They're listed as #34 (Berzerk) and #39 (Survival)? Presumably Rap God is sitting just outside the top 40? They've only had one day of eligible sales remember...

Poor Shane Filan. Expected big sales and it's a solid album. May get Avrils album as well, needs to be top 1.

I know it's to be expected, but Icona Pop's album missing the top 40. :(

 

I knew Avril wouldn't make the top 10, I expect that around #16 on Sunday.

If Eminem got 73k in one day, surely he should be close to 200k (or maybe even pass)? I know it will include pre-orders, but the album is not showing any signs of slowing down too dramatically!

 

I predicted 200k and was told he'd no chance!!! :o

IIRC Daft Punk had similar first day sales and fell well short of 200k - Eminem could well beat their opening now though I think.

wow @ Eminem's sales :o 150k+ first-week seems possible for this album!

 

Storm Queen was 21k ahead yesterday, and now 18.7k ahead today after 3 days of sales (2.3k decrease in lead). Assuming that he continues to fall in this fashion, he should be 9.5k ahead of Eminem at the end of the week. In reality he won't have that big of a lead but I think he'll definitely be #1. :cheer:

Why are you getting so wound up about a couple of songs having some sales excluded from the chart (for arguably legitimate reasons)? And why on Earth are you using that as a basis to say the Big Top 40 is better when the 'altered truths' of the official chart are absolutely minute compared to those of the BT40?
