November 10, 201312 yr 31 Justin Bieber - Bad Day [D] http://a1.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music/v4/68/17/0e/68170e0b-a289-6db5-b271-71e77f7cc63a/13UAEIM12656.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 31 [1 wk] Release date: 04-11-2013 Format: download only single Label: The Island Def Jam Music Group Video here: gotEw1JrByY Biography Pop singer Justin Bieber was barely into his teens when he released his platinum-selling debut, My World, and became one of 2009's youngest success stories. An Ontario native, Bieber had placed second in a local singing competition two years prior and began posting his performances on YouTube. The videos caught the attention of Scooter Braun, a talent agent and former So So Def marketing executive, who helped Bieber land an impromptu audition with the R&B star Usher. Impressed by what he saw, Usher — along with Island/Def Jam chairman L.A. Reid — quickly signed the 15-year-old Bieber to a recording contract. Bieber released his first single, "One Time," in May 2009. Supported by a popular video that featured an appearance by Usher, "One Time" went platinum in both Canada and America, a feat that was replicated later that year with the release of My World. The disc was technically an EP, featuring only seven songs, but it reached number six on the Billboard 200 album chart and sold over a million copies. Less than a year after his debut, Bieber returned with the "second half" of My World, a ten-song release titled My World 2.0. Further demonstrating his and his management's marketing power, over 8,000 fans who pre-ordered My World 2.0 had their head shots used in a photo mosaic (formed to look like a portrait of Bieber) that was displayed on the back side of the disc's booklet. The release topped the Billboard 200. A few weeks later, a combination of My World and My World 2.0, titled My Worlds, appeared in some territories. By the end of 2010, Bieber issued My Worlds Acoustic, a set featuring acoustic versions of nine songs off the My World discs, as well as one new song. The following February, the 3-D documentary Never Say Never was released to theaters. The seven-track Never Say Never: The Remixes, released just days after the film, maintained the flow of Bieber product, and featured appearances from the likes of Kanye West, Usher, and Miley Cyrus. Just in time for Christmas 2011 came the holiday-themed Under the Mistletoe, complete with several celebrity guest duets and an original song, "Mistletoe," for the first single, which entered the Holiday Songs chart at number two. In 2012, Bieber returned with his sophomore studio effort, Believe. Featuring the single "Boyfriend," the album also included guest appearances from Ludacris, Nicki Minaj, Drake, and others. It became his fourth number one album. Believe Acoustic, a sequel to My Worlds Acoustic, followed in 2013. ~ Matt Collar & Andy Kellman, Rovi / iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2010 11 One Time -1- 2010 62 One Less Lonely Girl -2- 2010 71 Love Me -PS- 2010 03 Baby (Justin Bieber Feat. Born in Tidworth, Wiltshire, England in 1974 to a family with a long military history, Blunt entered the Army after graduating from the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Ultimately achieving the rank of captain, Blunt served with the NATO peacekeeping force in Kosovo and finished out his time in the military as a member of the Life Guard Regiment in the British Household Cavalry. Having long been interested in music, Blunt wasted no time in pursuing a pop career after leaving the Army. A subsequent performance at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas, brought Blunt to the attention of 4 Non Blondes singer/producer Linda Perry, who signed Blunt to her Custard Records label. Released in 2005, Blunt's debut album, Back to Bedlam, and its hit single, You're Beautiful, were hugely successful — the single hit number one in over a dozen countries, and sold over ten million copies worldwide. Blunt toured for much of 2005 and 2006, then released the two-disc "odds and sods" live/documentary album Chasing Time: The Bedlam Sessions in 2006. He had been writing songs while on the road, and brought Back to Bedlam producer Tom Rothrock in again to record. (The songs featured writing collaborations with Mark Batson, Jimmy Hogarth. Steve McEwan, and Max Martin, while the recordings featured Blunt's live backing band.) His sophomore effort, All the Lost Souls — featuring the leadoff single "1973" — finally dropped in September 2007. Disillusioned by success and what he felt as a perceived loss of artistic credibility, Blunt took a break from music before coming back in 2010 with his third full-length effort Some Kind of Trouble, a more optimistic, spontaneous album influenced by '70s U.S. pop/rock, which sold well despite not being critically well-received. In 2012 he returned to the studio with Tom Rothrock to track his fourth album Moon Landing. Featuring "Miss America," Blunt's tribute to the late Whitney Houston, and the country-folk-influenced single Bonfire Heart, the record was scheduled for release in October 2013. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2005 44 Wisemen -1- 2005 01 You're Beautiful -2- 2005 16 High {re-issue} -3- 2005 09 Goodbye My Lover -4- 2006 23 Wisemen {2006 re-issue} 2007 04 1973 -1- 2007 57 Same Mistake -2- 2008 20 Carry You Home -3- 2010 26 Stay The Night -1- 2013 04 Bonfire Heart -1-

November 10, 201312 yr 15 (from 14) Wilkinson - Afterglow [D] http://a2.mzstatic.com/us/r30/Music/v4/33/fc/af/33fcaff0-9282-451c-cd89-8b730833b30d/13UAAIM67463.170x170-75.jpg Chart Run: 8-9-14-15 [4 wks] Release date: 13-10-2013 Format: download only single Label: Ram Records Sales: 80k+ Video here: I9QGpHScGug Biography Hailing from the leafy suburbs of South West London is Ram Records’ Wilkinson. His first insight into making music came at the age of 9 when his parents bought him a drum kit. Mark ‘Wilkinson’ joined a few bands and was playing at venues as far as the Birmingham NEC and as close as the local old peoples home. This swiftly ended at the age of 14 when Wilkinson discovered his passion for dance music amongst other things. In his final year at college Wilkinson tried his hand at making beats in the college studio, this lead to him buying his first bits of production gear and turning his bedroom into a studio. A few years and part time jobs later, after driving his family mad with large amounts of bass loosening the brickwork of his house, Mark secured himself a studio not far from his home. After fine-tuning his production skills, Wilkinson passed a few songs on to Hospital Records via Cyantific, which led to his first release on Hospital Records’ Sick Music 2 compilation. A few months later Wilkinson sent a folder of tunes to Ram Records and within days received a phone call from Andy C inviting him for a meeting at the Ram Records HQ. October 2010 saw three of Wilkinson’s songs featured on Andy C’s Nightlife 5 album and releases including ‘Moonwalker’/‘Samurai’, ‘Refuge’, ‘Get Into It’ and the mighty ‘Everytime’/‘Overdose’ doing damage across dance-floors worldwide, winning fans from Skream, Mista Jam, Chase & Status and High Contrast in the process. Since then Mark won the ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’ award at the National D&B Awards 2012 and has remixed Chase & Status, Example, Nero, Professor Green, Wiley and Jakwob to much critical acclaim. He’s also currently working on production projects for Relentless, Atlantic and Island Records. 2012 saw Wilkinson up the levels once more, releasing the mighty ‘Automatic’ in the summer, followed by the hit record ‘Need To Know’ feat. Iman which topped the iTunes Electronic chart, was championed by the likes of Zane Lowe, Annie Mac and Nick Grimshaw, was Sara Cox’s daytime Record Of The Week and spent 4 weeks on the Radio 1 playlist. Hotly tipped to do big things across drum & bass and electronica, Wilkinson released ‘Take You Higher’ to much critical acclaim, again topping all D&B charts and receiving numerous daytime Radio 1 spins. Following on from ‘Heartbeat’ feat. P Money & Arlissa which again topped all d&b charts and was playlisted across BBC 1Xtra, Wilkinson releases ‘Afterglow’ ahead of his debut album on Ram Records titled ‘Lazers Not Included’ this Oct 2013. He continues to tour worldwide from Sydney to Berlin, Barcelona to Brighton with his dynamic and energetic DJ sets including festival performances this summer at EDC Las Vegas, Mallorca Rocks, Exit, Nass, Global Gathering & Bestival.
