Biography

Passenger, the working name of singer/songwriter Mike Rosenberg, makes intimate, folk-inflected indie pop. Originally a four-piece, Passenger formed in Brighton, England, as a collaboration between singer/songwriter Rosenberg and composer Andrew Phillips. Working out of Phillips' studio, the duo recorded the songs that would become Wicked Man's Rest, Passenger's debut album. The disc was released on ChalkMark in 2007 and spawned several singles, including "Wicked Man's Rest," "Walk You Home," "Do What You Like," and "Table for One." Passenger opened up for several high-profile indie acts throughout the U.K. that year, including Kate Nash and the Hold Steady. The following year found the band providing the soundtrack to the film Where Have I Been All Your Life?, and performing at the 2008 SXSW festival in Austin, Texas. In 2009, Phillips parted ways with Passenger leaving Rosenberg at the helm. The band's sophomore effort, 2009's Wide Eyes Blind Love, reflected this change with a stripped-down, acoustic sound. A year later, Rosenberg's Passenger returned with the "fan-only" release Divers and Submarines. Also in 2010, Passenger released the album Flight of the Crow, featuring collaborations with such artists as Josh Pyke, Katie Noonan, Elana Stone, and others. In 2012, Passenger released its fifth full-length effort, All the Little Lights, which featured a more fully fleshed-out sound. ~ Margaret Reges & Matt Collar, Rovi / iTunes

So tired of Let Her Go :(

Is it still not a million seller?

Should be this week, probably confirmed by OCC tomorrow. It was about 7k off last week I think.

EDIt - 3k apparently.

Let Her Go: 30 top 40 weeks

Ho Hey: 37 top 40 weeks

Let Her Go still has a way to go but I think with the gift card boost it could possibly beat Ho Hey's top 40 weeks!

Actually it should have

Is it still not a million seller?

I think it probably got there this week (I've even said so in my commentary) but no announcement from the OCC yet.

If it hasn't cracked it this week, it will defiantly get there in the next week!

Biography

English MC Tinie Tempah (Patrick Chukwuem Okogwu, Jr.) hails from South London. He was in his teens when he issued his first single, “Wifey,” which packed sweetened swagger and became a hit in the underground. Tinie subsequently established the Disturbing London (aka DL) label and released 2007’s Hood Economics: Room 147: The 80 Minute Course, a mixtape featuring drop-ins from Chipmunk and DVA. The Parlophone label took note and signed the rapper, whose 2010 singles “Pass Out” and “Frisky” topped various singles charts in the U.K. The tracks led to The Disc-Overy, Tinie’s proper debut album, issued later in the year. - iTunes

And in other news Bieber has officially broken his trend of peaking lower or the same as the last promo single with the current promo single. :(
This has really underperformed, although I can't say I'm surprised. This chorus tries so hard to be anthemic and inspirational, but it really doesn't make a lot of sense.
