Oh, McFly not even top 5! Kinda forgot they existed but I thought they would easily hang onto the top 5 at least.

Extremely average song though.

The Monster isn't bad at all, I normally can't stand Eminem but this is pretty good. Rihanna plays a part in that though I guess.

Oops at McFly.

How Long Will I Love You is GORGEOUS  one of my favourite Ellie tracks actually. So glad it's done well for her, much better than I ever expected actually.

Should go T100 YTD today, too.

I quite like this new McFly song actually, it's just a shame they resorted to releasing to about 50 different versions to try and get a top 10 hit!

I see McFly have resorted to combining existing titles for more inspiration with song titles.

I do admire that they've never quite slipped into irrelevance over all the years. This song sounds quite Christmassy actually

6 not bad for mcfly given they have been together 10 years and their original fans are all grown up
Have to admit I much prefer the live versions of Love Is on the Radio. It sounded absolutely gorgeous at the Royal Albert Hall earlier this year.
Definitely a return to their old sound, sounds like it could have been the follow up single to Obviously (although the violins/harmonica make it stand out a bit). Nice for them to get another top ten hit but it seems as though it will be a one week wonder in the top 40.
And here's McFly, getting country music onto Radio 1 through the backdoor (whilst mixing it with the song 'Lord of the Dance' for good measure).

Erm, how is this even remotely country?! (R1 haven't been playing it anyway )

I think McFly just pretty much confirmed the album HAS been stalled/ cancelled in that interview. McBusted has well and truly taken over.

Biography

The neo-synth pop group Bastille were formed in London, England in 2010. Originally the solo project of singer/songwriter Dan Smith, Bastille expanded to a quartet after he decided to form a band and got some of his friends involved. The band attracted a lot of attention after putting a few tracks online, leading to support slots at major U.K. festivals like Glastonbury and the Isle of Wight. While their lush, heavily '80s-inspired melodies, anthemic choruses, and literate, emotionally raw lyrics, delivered in Smith’s swooping voice, undoubtedly appealed to kids weaned on the sounds of La Roux and Florence + the Machine, at least part of the hype was due to the flagrantly copyright-breaching videos that Smith, an ardent film buff, edited together out of footage from old movies like Terrence Malick’s Badlands. Eventually they secured a deal with hip indie label Young and Lost Club and released their debut 7” single, Flaws/Icarus, in July 2011. This was followed later that year by Laura Palmer EP, named for the teenaged murder victim in David Lynch’s cult '90s TV series Twin Peaks; the creepy accompanying video for the track “Overjoyed” was also heavily inspired by the series. The group returned in 2013 with their debut album Bad Blood. ~ John D. Buchanan, Rovi / iTunes
