Usually people buy the songs they've liked from 2013, so some older songs will climb back up, like Blurred Lines, Get Lucky etc.

The 'official' total of Coldplay's 'Paradise' excludes its 100k-odd ineligible sales.

Oh, thanks! I'm wondering that the situation is like with its certs (provided it is certified) as it would be weird to exclude any sales from it. I understand excluding them from current charts as they are misleading in showing what's popular but I don't see why BPI would make a problem including them in the certification.

Biography

Mariah Carey (born March 27, 1970) is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, actress, and philanthropist. Under the guidance of Columbia Records executive Tommy Mottola, Carey released her self-titled debut studio album Mariah Carey in 1990; it went multi-platinum and spawned four consecutive number one singles on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart. Following her marriage to Mottola in 1993 and success with hit records Emotions (1991), Music Box (1993), and Merry Christmas (1994), Carey was established as Columbia's highest-selling act. She signed a multi-million dollar contract deal with Island Records in 2002, and after an unsuccessful period, returned to the top of music charts with The Emancipation of Mimi (2005). Its second single "We Belong Together" became her most successful single of the 2000s, and was later named "Song of the Decade" by Billboard. They don't include, because those sales are almost like free tracks when you pre-order an album. They track those sales but they don't add to the total, now please don't go on and on with this please :)

It is normally songs that appeal to teenagers, who get the gift cards for Christmas.
