Wow, last year's top 10 was horrendous - the only one I find bearable is 'The Power Of Love'.

 

Glad Kelly looks set to enter the top 40. :) Hope Little Mix can sneak in with 'Little Me' since it's been close to the top 20 for a good few days.

James should have had #1 instead of that GODAWFUL Justice Collective song. :manson:

 

Anyway, can't wait for Sam to get that Christmas #1 today :wub:

You know what, I REALLY don't like that Pharrell song but anything to stop another X Factor/charity song being the Xmas #1 would be fine with me.

 

Could you imagine if Sam missed #1 though? Her and the show would literally get the worse press ever.

The fact that this was already available for a month on Now 56 makes it all the more surprising, I guess in the download era it wouldn't have happened as it could have been cherry picked for ages beforehand

5- HAPPY XMAS (WAR IS OVER)- The Idols (73,165) Was absolutely astounded that this wasn't the Xmas #1, let alone only selling 73k! I wonder what went wrong!

7- SHUT UP- Black Eyed Peas (54,000)* Don't think I've ever seen such a big sales gap between #7 and #8 :lol: These were hugely impressive top ten sales for 2003, way better than the sales that we'll see in this week's Xmas top ten in fact, save for maybe #8-10.

Good (?) thing there's absolutely no chance of Sam missing #1 then. But she's still looking to have one of the lowest opening sales for an XF winner's single (possibly the lowest? Not sure what Steve Brookstein did first week but I'm pretty sure Sam is on for lower than all the rest at least) and almost certainly only a week at #1.
