March 2, 201412 yr This is my least favourite Jason song, I adored 'The Other Side' and all his previous singles. 'Talk Dirty' was
March 2, 201412 yr "Happy" is HUGE in the US though and don't count out U2, especially with how much they're revered AND the song is dedicated to the late Nelson Mandela. I think it's just Karen O who has no shot of winning, which is a shame as her song is the best of the four. :( It is a tight field, but given the cultural impact that Frozen has had, I can't imagine it not winning. Also think that Frozen will also win for best soundtrack and Best Animated Film (although in the latter I really want Hayao Miyazaki's "The Wind Rises" to be the winner).
March 2, 201412 yr How can so many people still love Wake Me Up <_< Even though it has been around for ages I never payed much attention to it :/
March 2, 201412 yr Trumpets can't leave fast enough. Hope Stupid Love isn't anywhere as big as the other 3 singles <_<

(UK) Sales: 400k+ Video here: an4ySOlsUMY Biography Ellie Goulding is a British vocalist whose music finds the balance between electro-pop and indie folk. Born in Hereford, England, she later moved to the country's east coast to study drama at the University of Kent. Goulding had developed a love for folk music as a teenager, and her time at University also exposed her to electronica. After two years, she took a break from her studies and moved to West London, where she pursued a career as an alternative singer/songwriter and befriended producers like Starsmith and Frankmusik, who gave her songs an electro-pop twist. In 2009, Goulding began building an audience via the internet, where early tracks like "Starry Eyed" and a cover of Sam Sparro's "Black & Gold" were posted on taste-making MP3 blogs such as Discodust. Goulding soon graduated from the blogosphere to print media, gaining praise from mainstream publications like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. She ultimately signed a major-label deal with Polydor Records and began making preparations to release her debut album. In the meantime, she penned songs for Diana Vickers, Gabriella Climi, and others. During the final weeks of 2009, Goulding topped the BBC's "Sound of 2010," a poll conducted by British music critics and industry insiders to identify new talent. Building on that momentum, she released Lights — a sparkling debut album that splashed Goulding's vocal flutter across a landscape of acoustic and synthesized instruments — in March 2010. Lights topped the U.K. charts during its first week and spun off a Top Five single, "Starry Eyed," which also charted well in Ireland and New Zealand. Later that year, the album was re-released as Bright Lights, featuring seven new recordings (including a cover of Elton John's "Your Song," which peaked at number two). In 2012, Goulding returned with her sophomore album, Halcyon, which showcased an even more sonically adventurous, electro-pop-infused sound. In 2013, a deluxe reissue featuring ten extra songs was released, entitled Halcyon Days, it acted as supplement to the original release. ~ Andrew Leahey & Jason Birchmeier, Rovi / iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2009 53 Under The Sheets -1- 2010 04 Starry Eyed -2- 2010 26 Guns And Horses -3- 2010 19 The Writer -4- 2010 12 Wonderman (Tinie Tempah Feat. March 2, 201412 yr Still really like 'How Long Will I Love You'! So beautiful and the film it features on ('About Time') is great too.
March 2, 201412 yr I don't understand why HLWILY was so massive when it was for charity. They usually plummet do they not? It's helped by Ellie promoting it well, as well as it being very radio friendly and Ellie being a very big name these days, I'd say ^_^ Still love HLWILY

Finding success with his intimate, Bon Iver-influenced songs, Joy decided to put law on hold and pursue a music career instead. Born James Keogh, the singer took the name Vance Joy from a character Peter Carey's novel Bliss in order to better separate his personal and professional life. As his reputation grew, he began working with a manager, booking bigger shows around town and eventually recorded his debut EP God Loves You When You're Dancing. His catchy folk-pop single "Riptide" was an immediate success in Australia and eventually led him to sign a lengthy multi-album deal with Atlantic Records. In 2013, Joy began touring internationally and recording his first album for Atlantic. - iTunes Chart history (Year peak title): 2014 10 Riptide -NAS-
