That performance of 'Let It Go' was excellent, I was pleasantly surprised that I enjoyed it, but because this is the hideous, screechy original charting, I don't want it going Top 10!

I haven't seen BGT yet but I'm thrilled Idina's getting a boost. It's unbelievable how well this song has done and, although part of me quite likes the fact that it seemed destined to be a huge selling non-top 10, I really would like her to get there.

 #100 Alesha Dixon - Breathe Slow

This was used for approximately 3 seconds in tonight's show. The power of BGT, wow

How is A Sky full of stars doing bad..I expected it to be top 5 anyway..it seems a really big song, now it doesn't look like its even going to go top 10..

Idina up to 11 and 76 so she's comfortably inside the top 10 when combined (I think) so hopefully she can climb a little more and stabilise for a few days.

 39. Ed Sheeran - Sing (pre-order)

I'd imagine it'll be the song performed by Coldplay on Graham Norton this week, so all hopes of top 10 are not lost.

Just a continued wow at Let It Go, a song from a film released in December 2013 continuing to storm it in Summer 2014. It played at a friend's 21st last weekend and the place went mental, everyone knew the words - and I've heard kids singing it loudly on trains as well, along with For The First Time In Forever.

Amazing also to think that before the download era it wouldn't have even charted, the Demi Lovato version would have presumably been the one released as a single - similar to how Celine/Peabo get the credit for 'Beauty and the Beast' rather than poor Angela Lansbury. Ditto Peabo (again) and Regina Belle for 'A Whole New World' rather than Brad Kane and Lea Salonga, although Elton John for the two Lion King songs is a little fairer as he actually composed them.

Breathe Slow was one of the better Say It Right clones imo.

The return of Eric_Blob's random and senseless comparisons, I have missed these.

It's pretty obvious. I'd post the instrumentals of them to show you, but I know from experience you can never see any similarities when I do that.

By the way, I don't think they sound exactly the same. I think they have similar beats in the same way that songs like California Gurls and Tik Tok, or Airplanes and Love the Way You Lie have similar beats.

'Happy' has been surging once again in the last 7 hours (up from 0.21 to 0.33 on Kworb and closing in on Idina). What's happened this time?

Looks like I'll have another song to add to my fake version chart list this week.

Still, even if you are anal enough to care about similar beats that can barely be heard, the songs still sound nothing alike and it's still a stupid comparison. Let's move on.
